    "Morning, MaryLu."
Well .... your first word is: "Fire !" And the first word that comes to my mind is: "Duck !" Not very heroic, am I !!! Great action shot !
After hearing all about that Italian cruise-liner going down, and people jumping overboard ... I try to imagine 'what' it would have been like to be aboard any of the ships in your photo today ... knowing full well, that 'somebody' was going to be sunk .... and, they would NOT have been able to swim to shore (as some did from that cruise-liner). Being in water over my head (literally), and, not being a strong swimmer ... the "thoughts" almost leave me in a panic !
Again ... I am quite content to be on "this side" of the photograph !
    Thanks for sharing.

  2. Hmm. Three ships. Kinda reminds me of a book someone wrote;)

I read "The Legacy of the Kings Pirates" over Christmas and New Years! I still cannot believe all the action and suspence . . . and in the middle of all that, the gospel was presented and characters were coming to Christ and being changed. Very well done!

I do have a question. Where did you get the names "Brenton" and "Sloane" from? First, Brenton was a Pirate in the "Reliance" and in the "Restitution" the name was used for Earl Ashton. "Brenton" is my brother's name. He thought it was cool to have his name in a book! But asked me what happen to him or them. (BTW he's 12)
Second, I have a girl cousin named "Sloane". I don't have a clue where it's from.

    Thanks,
    Jennie

  3. Brenda, I know! I read some of the stories of that cruise ship and they sounded so scary!! Much like the Titanic. Thank God they were close to shore! I quite agree.. it would be terrifying to be out in the middle of the sea.. I'm a strong swimmer, but not that strong!

Jennie, So GLAD you enjoyed my pirate series!! Where did I get the names Sloane and Brenton? Good question. I have no idea!! LOL. I wrote those books 7 years ago. But I'm pretty sure I just made them up or saw them somewhere.. in a book or on TV. Brenton is such a cool name, isn't it? It sounds so regal. And I've always loved Sloane. It makes a great girls name too..

  4. Great picture, MaryLu. I saw the news about the cruise ship and it made me so mad. It was one of those weird situations where you are blessed by the very problem that caused the tragedy. The ship was too close to shore, so it was damaged, yet because it was so close to shore, it didn't sink completely. And I heard that the ship's captain abandoned the ship, crew and passengers! Wow. I am so glad that Jesus will never abandon me.

  6. Well, you just made my brother's day:) He is wondering if the Pirate Brenton is dead or alive. I am wondering if Earl Brenton Ashton his living as a miserable man.

    Thanks,
    Jen and Brenton

  7. Great point, Debbie! The captain of our souls will never abandon the ship!! Halleluhah!

And Jennie.. of course Pirate Brenton still be sailin' the seas in search of booty! If ye ever take a cruise to the Caribbean, ye best beware!!
However, Earl Brenton Ashton died a miserable and lonely man, never putting aside his pride and reconciling with his charming daughter.. so sad. :-(
