Many of us who are watching for the Lord's return keep our eyes on world events in an effort to connect them with Biblical prophecy. (Which is happening A LOT these days!) We want to know how close we are to going home! We want to know when these struggles and trials and heartaches will end and we will finally see our wonderful Jesus. If you're like me, I often look for major things to happen, like World War 3 to start or a more deadly worldwide pandemic or the economy to complete crash or even the final nail to be driven into cash and everything switches to digital. Or food to become scare everywhere or intense persecution of Christians to rise. Or even 10 Kings to be installed over a New World Order! These are all the things we know are coming from what the Scriptures tell us. So any one of them occurring would give me great hope of our soon departure.
Yet... in all honesty, all the things I listed above are already happening in small stages as I have reported often in my Friday posts here. It's like there's a huge dam holding back the Tribulation but God has allowed cracks to form in the cement and trickles of the coming evil are pouring out upon the Earth. Those of us awake see these trickles and we know they are a small prelude of a horrific coming storm, but we want to see something bigger, major, so we can be assured that Jesus is coming soon!
Recently, as I was explaining my frustrations to the Lord, He reminded me that the day of the rapture will be like any other day.
For you yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly and suddenly as a thief in the night. When people are saying, All is well and secure, and, There is peace and safety, then in a moment unforeseen destruction will come upon them as suddenly as labor pains come upon a woman with child; and they shall by no means escape, for there will be no escape. But you are not in given up to the power of darkness, brethren, for that day to overtake you by surprise like a thief.
For you are all sons of light and sons of the day; we do not belong either to the night or to darkness. 1 Thess 5:2-5
Peace and safety, All is well and secure. Hmm.
For just as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, until the very day when Noah went into the ark, And they did not know or understand until the flood came and swept them all away—so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Matthew 24: 38-39
In other words, the day of the rapture will be an ordinary day. You'll get out of bed, drink your coffee, get the kids ready for school, go to work, clean the house...whatever you normally do. Yes, some have said that we go up as missiles are flying down upon us, but until that point, the day will be just a regular day. In a way, that gives me great hope because we aren't looking for major worldwide catastrophes to occur, though certainly we seem pockets of them everywhere already. No. we are not appointed to God's wrathful judgement. I'm including below excerpts from my novel, When Angels Cry. This is from the chapter toward the end in which the rapture occurs. This book and the entire series was entirely Spirit led. I didn't want to write it. I'd never written a contemporary story. This first book was written back in 2016! Anyway, I believe through the Holy Spirit, this captures the essence of that day.
Setup: Angeline wakes up as usual but despite recent painful events, she senses a peaceful bliss and joy overcome her. She checks the news and nothing was happening except a war in Israel. She decides to head to the beach for the day. She is sitting in the sand with her recently saved friend Leigh.
Only a pink line remained on the horizon now, but the sky was a brilliant blue—almost turquoise, like the color around tropical islands. And the clouds. Their edges sparkled as if overnight someone had braided them with diamonds. Angelica turned to Leigh and found her staring as well.
“Have you ever seen a sky like this?” Leigh finally asked.
Angelica shook at her head. “No. I can’t stop looking at it, it’s so beautiful.”
“Yet only a few other people seem to notice,” Leigh commented, glancing across the beach. “Most are just doing their thing.”
Weird. Though it was early, families with young children and a few teens who should be in school were scoping out the best spots to park their stuff.
“Something’s up, isn’t it?” Leigh eased a strand of hair behind her ear. “Something important. Spiritual.” She glanced at Angelica.
“I have no idea, but I feel it too.” She smiled at her friend.
Next Scene: Angeline feels compelled to go see Daniel, her love interest who recently broke up with her. He is the pastor of a megachurch who has not been preaching the true Gospel. She approaches him in front of his huge sanctuary as he's about to head to DC for some important meeting.
Come with me, Daniel. Don’t go To D.C,” she blurted out.
Thomas grunted. “Daniel, come on. The plane won’t wait for us. You’ll see her in a few days.”
Yet Daniel remained, staring at her, his blue eyes so full of pain and love. Shadows consumed him from above, and he gazed up to find a bank of white clouds rolling over the sun.
No, not white… brighter than pure snow, their edges frosted in silver. They rippled when they moved—like waves crashing on shore. In the distance, darkness rose on the horizon, thick tarry clouds boiling higher and higher.
The bodyguards, driver, and even Thomas stared at the unusual sight.
Angelica blinked and spotted three angels standing on the steps to her right, her angel among them. His glance briefly took her in before his gaze returned to the proceedings, but she thought she spotted a tiny smile on his lips.
Releasing her hands, Daniel planted a kiss on her cheek. “He’s right. I’ll call you from D.C.” Then turning, he walked toward the limo.
“Daniel,” she called and he looked back at her. “It’s almost time. Turn away from the things of this world, the fame, the money, man’s version of the truth. Give your whole heart to God. All it takes is one turn, one step of your heart in the right direction—just one, before it’s too late.”
Thomas groaned, snapping hate-filled eyes her way. “Give me a break, Smokes. Do you know who you are talking to?” He grabbed Daniel’s arm.
Daniel tugged from his grip, his eyes remaining on Angelica, a battle waging within them.
Help him see, Father.
Wind blasted over them, so strong it nearly pushed Angelica from her perch. But she planted her feet ever more firmly.
The angels drew their swords, the eerie chime like nails on a chalkboard. Only then did Angelica see the horde of demons thundering toward them from within the church—dark, hideous creatures, some armed with knives and spears, others with only their claws, all foaming at the mouth to grab as many as they could and drag them to hell.
Above her, a brilliant speck of light appeared at the center of the sky, growing larger and larger, pushing the blue aside as it went, and circled by a rainbow of glittering colors.
Yet the horizon remained a frothing cauldron of black.
The angels engaged. The ring of metal on metal filled the air, the curses of the spirits, the groans and grunts of battle. Yet no one heard it but her.
The stench of rotting flesh and sulfur pinched her nose.
A shout thundered across the sky. A command, loving yet strong. “Beloved, come forth!”
Everyone stared at the speakers framing the front doors of the church. Everyone but Angelica. She looked up, smiling. Her prince was calling her home.
A trumpet sounded, loud and long. The men, confused looks on their faces, looked around for its source. The bodyguards drew their guns.
For the first time fear appeared on Thomas’ face.
“Daniel?” Angelica held out her hand. “Please.”
NOTE: Balliel, Nazare, and Arithem are guardian angels
Baliel, Nazare, and Arithem made quick work of the putrid vile swarm that had attempted to pervert the will of the two yet undecided.
Baliel had been warned by the Lord of Hosts there would be great resistance in these last minutes, and hence, he and his friends had been fully armed and prepared for the battle.
Now, as the Holy warriors turned to face their charges, swords still drawn, they spotted those who had slithered through their defense—invited by the one whose fate lay at stake. Greed, pride, fame, confusion, and anger tromped over Daniel, spearing him with lance and shooting him with arrow.
Nazare started to charge, but Baliel held him back. “Not until he resists them. We cannot.”
Grimacing, Nazare remained, though Baliel could see the distress on his face. He ached for his friend. He knew well the pain of watching a human that had been under one’s protection since birth struggle at the crossroads betwixt death and life. Baliel had been there when Angelica had faced that trial. And he’d been elated when she’d chosen the right path. And kept on it.
But Nazare had been forced to endure Daniel’s constant betrayal of the One who died for Him. Even now, when he’d been told the truth, when the signs were all around him, he faltered beneath his own pride and anger.
They had but minutes left.
Angelica held her hand out to Daniel.
The demons attacking him, retreated, but only at a short distance.
Light began to spark within him. Nazare drew in a gasp of hope.
Angelica smiled and nodded her encouragement.
Thomas called to him. “What are you doing? You’ll lose everything.” He stepped toward him. “You can talk to her when we get back. But right now, you have to get in this car!”
The demons assaulted Daniel once again.
The light within him dimmed.
And slowly…ever so slowly…he turned and looked back at Thomas.
No sooner had Daniel glanced at Thomas then a charge of electricity crackled the air so loud, pain shot through him. Power surged through his being, and he faced Angelica again. The desperate appeal was still written on her face, luring him to abandon everything, his past, present, and future, to give all to the God he claimed to serve…
Somewhere deep within him, he desperately wanted to…
But…
A bolt of lightning struck right where Angel stood, so bright, Daniel had to turn his face away. The metallic smell of power charged the air, prickling his skin. Before he even opened his eyes, he groped for his phone in his pocket, intending to call 911. Dear God… Angel’s been struck by lightning!
Drawing the phone to his ear, he opened his eyes.
And blinked.
Angelica was no longer there.
I don't know exactly how the rapture will occur or what it will look like to those left behind, but I guarantee from Scripture that the day of the rapture will start out being a very ordinary day. So, don't give up hope. Don't quit watching and praying and praising God. He has promised to come get us, and He never goes against His Word.
Keep your eyes on Israel! God is about to take His Bride out and switch His entire attention onto the promised people!!
Loved those books! (3 book series)
ReplyDeleteToday is an ordinary day…😊
BevH
Yes. Love it! Today is an ordinary day!
DeleteCome quickly Lord Jesus!
ReplyDeleteAmen!
DeleteHello Sister in Christ,
ReplyDeleteBeautifully written post especially with the storyline of one of your books. It portrays the true significance of trust in Jesus very well in order to escape the real terror that is coming.
Yes it will be just an ordinary day. Even though I continue to go about as usual, I often look in the sky and believe (also desperately pray) Jesus will take us away real soon, only I wish it could be much sooner for I have seen how this world is headed for real disaster yet everyone still feels all is well and that nothing is wrong. With the potential new threat of another pandemic (Biological Attack), total surveillance (AI and Digital ID), and ICE raids that are not isolated, I could only pray the Lord will make more people act like Angeline in your story and avoid the fate of Thomas and Daniel, who, despite being a church pastor, may have to answer for preaching a false gospel and doubting his ex’s warnings.
Speaking of the characters in your story, I realized something about them:
Angeline - true devoted believer (if only more “Believers” were like her)
Daniel - skeptical conflicted believer (may be misleading churchgoers, but he still took the time to listen to his ex despite the painful breakup exasperated coaxing from Thomas to leave)
Thomas - arrogant, adamant atheist (“hate-filled” eyes says it all, especially towards a true Believer)
I hope there is an audible trumpet signaling the Rapture, for that could finally convince some people that God is real and that the Tribulation is coming. However, it may be too late for those people to avoid the Tribulation, so they may have to get saved the extreme way, but at least they have finally come to their senses and accepted God. The tragic thing is the vast majority of people still refuse to believe and I do not want to imagine the chaotic and possibly violent hysteria that follows the Rapture, since it is noted that nothing will be normal again afterwards. Is this true Sister?
I once saw that the Rapture was thought to be a scenario where the Raptured will look up to the sky under a light and then levitated into the clouds, similar to a real-life alien abduction. That makes sense if the demonic forces would explain the mass disappearance of people, but if there was the audible trumpet, things may be different, but time will tell. Would it be that the Seven Trumpets will also be heard upon each of the plagues be brought into the Earth?
I was at a restaurant yesterday to celebrate Father’s Day, and I saw on a TV screen where commentators were talking about the clash between Israel and Iran. The subject line was “Israel-Iran conflict puts Middle East on edge.” I am sure there are other public areas in this world discussing this topic, but everyone just went about their own business without any concern. If only people knew this time it is the real deal concerning how evil has worsened and how it will almost be 2000 years since Christ was crucified and resurrected, people should start thinking about what/who their top priority should be. Is it not a surprise that many will still scoff at this subject?
I used to lament over not having any real friends as well as over being unpopular, but now I have completely changed in that those do not mean anything to me anymore, for I believe God finally changed me to the point where I am willing to leave everything behind and finally interact with true Brothers and Sisters in Heaven without any fear of judgment or rejection. I have to say coming across your blog and reading the posts played a big role in the transformation. Do you appreciate this sincere compliment? Please understand this is not flattery by any means.
Keep looking up and definitely pay attention to the conflict in Israel and of course the UN Conference this week. I am going to pay special attention and see if the words “seven years” are announced. Then we know we are very and I mean VERY close to going home. Take care Sister and Blessings from a Brother in Christ.
Brother, yes, I hope the trumpet will be heard by the entire world!! Even the shout of the Archangel! Then people will truly know what just happened. And yes, after we are gone, the world will descend quickly into violence, chaos, and pure evil. I don't wish anyone to remain behind. It will be a nightmare here.
DeleteI'm not surprised at your experience at that restaurant. Even Believers who should know better have little interest in what's going on in Israel. A friend I recently had lunch with didn't even know Israel had bombed Iran. Clueless. So , no it doesn't surprise me at all. Nor the scoffing, because the Bible predicted that as well.
Good idea to keep an ear out for the SEVEN year covenant. That would be a good indication that we are leaving very very soon!
It blesses me greatly that the words Jesus has given me on this blog have helped you, Brother. I give all glory to the Lord. He loves you so much and you are always welcome here among your real family!
One of the most encouraging posts to me! I think I get way more out of these than focusing on what the world and Satan are doing. We know it's going to wax worse and worse as the day approaches lol. I love focusing on the work of Jesus and seeing everyday ordinary miracles as people come to Christ and even believers overcome their sin with the Spirit. Let's face it, with most of us, keeping in step with the Spirit is miraculous as it reflects Gods work or salvation, sanctification and ultimately justification in each of us. Mind blowing. Thanks for this!!
ReplyDeleteI agree... I also would prefer encouraging posts and/or posts that help all of us grow in our faith and our walk with the Lord!. I'll see how the Lord leads in the future. Sometimes, however, there are things I sense He wants me to warn about... mainly things that can deceive Christians so I will keep doing that as I feel led. Also, sometimes there are new people coming here and I want to make sure they are fairly warned as well. We'll see how it goes! But I'm glad this post blessed you!
DeleteGreetings Precious Scribe to the King,
ReplyDeleteYes I remember this book well. I had told you after I finished it, I believe it is very prophetic. Portions that were not mentioned here, like the government only allowing their re-written versions of bibles to be read, under penaly of law. Open conversations of true scripture are un lawfull. I think is a very real reflection of the new order of Christianity today. it's wonderful seeing some saved and at the same time heartbreaking to see many who are lost because of love for the things of this world ! I love the guarding Angels depicted. I know mine has had his hands full at times.
A line you your wrote that many dont like to hear; "Only then did Angelica see the horde of demons thundering toward them from within the church". This is my cross to bear, i guess. Have lost a lot of friends over seeing this in the church. It's one of those " you cant unsee it", though many seem to be able to overlook blaphemous statements. I really thought Daniel was going to go with Angel for a minute, when he didnt I was saddened.
I forgot to mention, I was at a Memorial Day cook out, and several of my closest friends from the church were there. It was all very friendly, yet I noted them looking in my eye's like they were trying to figure me out :). Surprised maybe, that I hadnt changed, or walked away from God as the x pastor was telling people. I was still just old Bible spouten God fearin Joe :).
As soon as I'm done with this terrible x pastors book, I'm going to get the next book in that series.
Christs peace to you Sister.
Yes.. the demons from the church!! So many in today's sanctuaries!! I know this is your ministry and passion. It angers me as well... what has happened to God's holy church and the vile pastors who preach a different Gospel! Ha ha.. they were trying to figure you out! That's funny. I'm sure they just can't imagine anyone walking away from church and yet growing closer to the Lord. What a phenomena! Extraordinary!! I pray for their eyes to be open! Blessings!
DeleteJoe-Don’t wait to read those books in the “Angel” series! You can read two books at the same time. ; )
