  2. That is a beautiful picture! I wish I could hang it on my wall. Very cool. Where did you get it?

  3. That is so gorgeous! Now if only we could jump into pictures like people do in movies... :-)

  4. It's cold and rainy here where I live so you can imagine how much I wish I could leap into this photo! I found it on Istock.com. By the way, I've been thinking about coming up with a series about a girl who jumps into paintings and ends up back in different periods of time in history. What do you think?

  5. Sounds strangely like a plot fix in 'Blue's Clues' being transformed into something completely awesome! Go for it, MaryLu!

    And that is an awesome photo.

  6. It truly does not get any better than that - I love that picture. Of course, anything that has to do with the ocean I automatically love! I am from New Hampshire, and always loved visiting the ocean/beaches. No palm trees though!=D Don't you love the ocean? ... I would read that series, sounds good! Creative (of course). I support the idea!=D

  8. I LOVE this! Its so screaming 'write a story' Amy. Wow, how beautiful! Now this is the sort of thing that inspires me to draw, God's creations. That is exactly why i do realism and enjoy it. Nothing is more amazing then something real that God has made! :)
    Oh my goodness MaryLu, jumping into paintings to end up somewhere else in history? How neat! That so reminded me of Barbie Rapunzel. lol

  9. This picture just reminds me of God's love becuase of its beauty. Very inspirational!
    Now, I have searched in the Bible for this one thing, and I cannot find it. Does anyone know about a Bible verse or chapter where it says something along the lines of, "God holds all of your tears," because a pastor I once knew mentioned it, and for the life of me I cannot find it?

  10. Thanks everyone! This is truly a gorgeous scene of God's incredible creation. The painting idea is still stewing in my head, but thanks for the input. Rachel I think the scripture you may be referring to is this:
    You number my wanderings;
    Put my tears into Your bottle;
    Are they not in Your book?
    When I cry out to You,
    Then my enemies will turn back;
    This I know, because God is for me.
    Psalm 56: 8-9

  11. That idea sounds great MaryLu! I haven't heard of anyone using that idea-unless you count the Night in the museum sequel, but that doesn't really count.=)

  12. MaryLu:
    Yes that is it! Thank you! You know how it is when you just can't find things? So irritating.

  13. This is such a beautiful scene. I'd love to go there with you. : )
    As for the idea of a girl who jumps into paintings, I think that is completely awesome! Something Mary Poppins would do. :D And that would be something different for you to do, since so far your books have been realistic, and that I guess would be classified as fantasy.
