    Afternoon, MaryLu.
Well, just how neat is that !!! The US Naval Academy's "first Womens' Hockey Team", and your step-daughter Christine is on the team for her second year ! That's great, MaryLu !!! Really great ! Congratulations to her, for that accomplishment !
Well, we have more in common than just our sons .... my "great niece" Jessica (19) - was recruited by Syracuse University (NY), two years ago now, and is playing for her second year too, for the "Womens' Hockey Team", there !!! Interesting, huh !
Thanks for sharing the photos !
Have a great weekend. Take care, and, God Bless, In Him, Brenda H

  4. Thanks, Ladies! yes, Christine is one tough girl. The bootcamp for the Academy is one of the toughest in the nation. I wouldn't have made it!! After she graduates, she has to serve 5 years in the navy, but she'll be an officer in charge of several men and women.
Brenda, that's cool about your niece! I'm glad it's becoming more acceptable for women to play in sports that have traditionally been male-dominated.
    Have a great weekend!

  5. Congratulations!!!! That's really cool, and very impressive. I'm not good at any sports, which makes it all the more impressive to me. I'm glad there are women who can do these types of things.

p.s. - I'm thinking about starting a Bible study at my school. It's allowed if it's created and run by the students --and not during class. Do you think that's a foolish idea? I texted my friend about it, she said that everyone who tried has failed, and that she wouldn't back me up or attend. She said it was a bad idea. Should I back down or see if I can try anyway?

  6. Abigail, forgive the late response. Things got hectic at my house this weekend. To answer your question about starting a Bible Study, I would really pray about it for a few days and ask God to show you what to do. If you still feel strongly about doing it, then YES, start it. If this is God leading you and you are obedient, there's no telling what HE can do! Even if it's just you at first or you and one other person, you never know the impact you're having by simply inviting the Holy Spirit into your school.

  7. Cool! I always did like hockey. Did anyone watch the U.S vs Canada in the winter olympics last year? Talk about pressure-and right before the closing ceremony! Cool Pics MaryLu!
