Hey, MaryLu, just wondering if you have seen this movie and if so, is it good or corny. With Errol Flynn, you never know. Anyway, I am going to find the ebook and read it eventually. Right now, I am totally wrapped up in your novel 'Surrender The Heart'....(and thanks for putting up with this doting grandma when I send you pics of my grandson)
I saw this movie, and thought that the story was fantastic, but the acting was kind of cheesy. I'd like to read the book sometime. And I think Errol Flynn is handsome, but not as a pirate - I like my pirates burly and covered in scars. :-)
I forgot to respond to Anonymous's question about the TV show Crusoe. Yes, I've seen it, and I loved it. It takes a few episodes to get good, but it's very realistic and dramatic, with plenty of swordplay. And a couple of women pirates, too! :-)
Errol Flynn was quite the hottie in his day! yes, I've seen the old Captain Blood movie and agree with Sapphire. The story is Excellent, acting kind of cheesy. I've read the book more than once!! The book is FANTASTIC! I heard rumors they were going to remake Captain blood but haven't seen anything about it. Is there a trailer? Hey, I also heard that they are making a sequel to Master and Commander with Russel Crowe! YEA!!! I'm very excited about that. I LOVED the show Crusoe. I was so bummed when they took it off the air.
Oh my, MaryLu! Where'd you hear that about Master And commander -- with Russell Crowe? My family and I LOVE that movie!!! I like most of Russell Crowe's movies. Isn't the movie based on a book? Have you read it/them?
Ooh, I can't wait for a Master and Commander sequel! The first one was amazing! I'm not getting too excited about the Captian Blood remake, though - the buzz is that they're rewriting it as a space opera. I mean, why replace rapiers with lightsabers and the roaring waves with black holes? But hopefully that rumor's not true...I'd love a remake if they stuck with Sabatini's story as he intended it. There aren't nearly enough pirate movies.

Just watched the trailer for the movie. It looks like too much fun for me. Has anyone watched the tv series Crusoe with Philip Winchester?
