The glories of God's creation!

  1. Wednesday, July 27th ....
    "Morning, MaryLu."
Ahhhhhhhh .... "The glories of God's creation !" Yes, indeed ... I'll take that !!! And just 'why' MaryLu does it seem to 'remind me' of a tropical paradise, somewhere ... hmmmmmm ???
    Absolutely beautiful !!!
And ... furthermore ... guess "who" is '61' today ??? So, yes, I'll gladly store this wonderful photo in the 'birthday memories of my mind' !!! Thank-you.
P.S. -- Just a note re a comment you made after I 'finally' wrote on Monday's blog .... You were saying: " .... you learn to rest in His arms and let go of self. I'm not there yet ... but I'm on my way !"
Please don't think I was inferring that I "have arrived" or anything. I'm still learning too. I still continue to be a -- "reactor" (and not a responder). I may fuss and fume over a negative situation, initially .... but, the 'fussing and fuming' is becoming 'less and less', that's all. And more readily now ... I am 'willing' to - let go, give it over to God, and "trust Him" with it all. He IS faithful !!!
Anyway, thank-you for sharing the gorgeous photo today !
    Take care, and, God Bless,

  4. Yes! Abigail, I so agree! To wake up to this each morning would certainly set my mood for the rest of the day.
Tori, it appears to be real, yet it seems too perfect to be real. Hmm.
MaryLu, I love this shot, it is so peaceful and serene. Is it a 'real' place?
And Brenda, Happy Birthday! It's nice seeing your post first again. I am no longer out of sync! LOL

  5. Happy Birthday, Brenda!!!! I hope you have something fun planned for today!
Yes, this is a real scene. Isn't it incredible? Someday we can and will wake up (even if we do sleep in heaven) to this kind of serene beauty. I can't wait!

  7. Wed July 27th .....
    Heh again, MaryLu ....
Thanks so much, for all of the "Happy Birthday" wishes .... from -- you, MaryLu ; Debbie ; and "Anonymous" .... most appreciated !!!
No, I actually don't have anything 'fun' planned for today .... but ... it is still, a good day !!!
Want to hear 'how' things have changed in my attitude (and/or maturity) .... Back when I was a kid ... couldn't wait for each and every b-day to come around. So excited, and, wanted each one to be bigger and better.
Middle age -- went through a 'major' rebellious, defiant, abnoxious stage ... Didn't want any happy wishes, and, certainly did NOT want the day acknowledged in any way, shape or form. Always became so sullen, miserable, and depressed.
Old(er) age -- now, I am so happy, just to "still" be here ... and have the ability to celebrate life ... even one more year, (one day at a time). Appreciate each and every b-day now. Strange, huh !!!
Again, thank-you ... one and all.
    Take care, and, God Bless,
    In Him, Brenda Hurley

  8. I agree, Brenda... I loved Birthdays when I was little.. dreaded them after 30, but now I rejoice in another year to do the will of God and appreciate all His many blessings! I realized today that I'm over halfway on my journey home. Even if I live to 90.. and even if Jesus comes before then... I'm still over halfway. That makes me really excited!!

  13. Oh I so want to go there! It's beautiful! : ) I'll just build a little palm tree hut on the beach there, and wade out to the mini island and relax with Surrender the Dawn!
