Joleen is a friend and reader who produced this trailer for me for free!! I'm in awe of her generosity.
Good job to Joleen; so very generous of her.
ReplyDeleteGo MaryLu! So happy for you and how this trailer brings your book to life :) Good job Joleen, Terryl, and Ryan and blessings to each of you for your efforts! Hope your book continues to thrive, MaryLu, as you bring glory to God with your writing :)

It does look really cool! Joleen did a great job!
ReplyDeleteBut isn't "Merrick" spelled with a "c" in it?
Anyway, it looks great!
Whoops. That's too funny. I didn't even notice. Oh well.. it's not a big deal. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the books...not impressed with the actors and the man's wig. Sorry Mary Lu! The cover to the book is much more enticing.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Joleen!!! Makes me want to read the book for sure!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice...and it's cute. But I read the book and hated the cover! I pictured them slightly different than that.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous shouldn't be so hard on the wig...who has wigs lying around?
It is really difficult to find actors to pose for book covers and for trailers that match characters in books. Mainly because we all have different ideas of what they look like. Right? Personally, I rarely look at book covers while I'm reading the book. I like to picture the character myself. Hey.. I just think it's cool to see some "live" shots of The Redemption with some really awesome music. This is how Joleen saw Merrick and Charlisse.. and I'm very thankful she put this together.. I'm also thankful for all your comments!! Thanks for watching it and caring. God bless!
ReplyDeleteI had a couple people at church watch the trailer and say, "That's a real book, right? It looks good. Even for guys." haha. "Yes, it's a real book! You should read it. It's full of adventure!"
ReplyDeleteThat's funny, Joleen!! I do have some secret male readers who have loved this series. By the way, I just sent out my newsletter with your trailer in it.. to over 500 people.. yea!! I have to say, if I hadn't written these books and I saw this trailer, I'd be running to my nearest book store to get them!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously! This one and Francine River's Mark of the Lion series are my favorites...but I think I've said that before.
ReplyDeleteBut I still like to hear it again! LOL
ReplyDeleteGood job Joleen! It is entertaining to see a book come to life in a way :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, I thought so too!
