Wed Oct 17th, "Morning, MaryLu." ANSS - for sure !!! Love how eery this photo is. Me-thinks this abandoned, certainly weathered, grounded ship has more than seen her last day ! Between the fog/mist, jagged rocks/cliffs, and the suspenseful looking colours -- make for an interesting picture -- a keeper indeed ! Thanks for sharing, MaryLu. Take care, and, God Bless, In Him, Brenda Hurley
Me thinks this be a ghost ship, Cap'n. No 'real' ship could be sailin' these waters will holes like that. We should keep a close watch, says I, lest we be caught off guard. I shall be in me crow's nest, not gettin' any rest 'til we are far from this ship......Me hopes the fog stays away.......
Ahoy there crew! I agree.. the ship looks a bit suspicious. How she stays afloat is beyond me sailor's brain! If she be the enemy, we need to keep a weather eye on her. Brenda, climb to the tops and assist our Chaplain in spyin' on this wreck of a bucket till we figure out what she be up to!
P.S. -- And, yet again ... another picture that reminds me of: "The Anchor holds, though the ship is battered. The Anchor holds, though the sails are torn" ... Battered indeed !!! Aye, aye ... it's up to the crow's nest ! (Is there room enough for two in the crows's nest ? Just asking ....) I don't think this "wreck of a bucket" will be doing any sailing. Naught to fear. Ahhhhh ... you guys are 'still' funny ! In Him, Brenda Hurley
Hi MaryLu! How are you? I love this picture so much, and it definitely creates a spooky mood. It makes me think of Pirates of the Caribbean, the Black Pearl! I was just in Disneyworld and went on that ride. I also have a question for you. Have you read the book, The Pirate and the Puritan, by Mary Clayton? If so, would you recommend it? Is she a Christian romance writer? I thought I remembered you recommending this book, but couldn't remember for sure. Thanks!! And, I am enjoying Veil of Pearls so much!! What a beautiful, moving story, and I am not even done yet...
No worries, Brenda, there's room for you in the crow's nest! LOL
Hi Kim! Yes, I've read The Pirate and the Puritan and loved it! I don't believe Mary is a Christian writer, but I don't remember there being any sex or language in her book, so I think you're safe. It was a great story! So glad you're enjoying Veil of Pearls!
Hey, that sounds like a book I would want to read some day, too. **** Aye, there be room in me crow's nest, Matey, but ye best be keepin' to yer own side. Wouldn't want the thing to be tippin' to one side. That be a long drop down below! Cap'n it could be me eyes playin' tricks on me, but do I spy a soul up in the opening of those mountains to the right? And is that someone sittin' on the ship...he looks to be tied up! I will keep me eyes peeled in case they be real!
Aye.. methinks that might be a poor soul tied up on the ship! Surely he is a prisoner of whate'er evil lurks aboard. Drop anchor! Lower the boats! No matter the danger, we must risk it to save this poor man. As God be me witness, I'll ne'er let anyone die on me watch!
