First thing that came to mind, was one of the Narnia movies -- where water poured out of one of the ship pictures hanging up on the wall. Imagine, "if" this were to really happen ..... ! I like it ! Thanks for sharing. Hey MaryLu ... just 'maybe' ... a new story-line could come from your own ship painting, with water pouring out from it ??? Sail away, sail away, sail away ... I love this picture! I have it on my Pinterest Board. I would love to own it or something like it. I could stare at it forever and dream of being at sea.

This is one of those pictures that could really spark my creativity! Wish I had such a painting in my writing room!! Although hubby wouldn't want the seawater to ruin the new floor he just put in!! LOL
I agree with shelby: it reminded me of the scene in the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, where Edmund, Lucy, and their cousin Eustace is transported through the painting back into Narnia.

It's a painting within a painting.
