Sorry no verse today. I'm really sick and don't have the energy. However, I'd love it if someone chose a great verse to go with this and posted it in the comments!!

Have a great day!

  1. I know this is more than one verse, but I feel that it fits.....Psalm 56:1-4 1 Be merciful to me, O God, because I am under attack; my enemies persecute me all the time. 2 All day long my opponents attack me. There are so many who fight against me. 3 When I am afraid, O Lord Almighty, I put my trust in you. 4 I trust in God and am not afraid; I praise him for what he has promised. What can a mere human being do to me? ......Praying you are feeling better. Hugs and God bless.

  2. ISAIAH 40:31 - But those who wait for the Lord (who expect, look for, and hope in Him) shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up (close to God) as eagles (mount up to the sun); they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.

I'm so sorry that you're not feeling well, MaryLu!! I have often become ill after returning from a trip/vacation - as relaxing as getaways are, they're stressful on the body also (especially if one was also ill beforehand - as you were - and perhaps not fully physically recovered) - maybe this prompted a physical setback for you also. I'm praying for your healing, as well as peace, comfort, and lack of stress. You have mentioned that you are a person who tends to go 24/7 - please take the needed time to rest your body in bed (not doing so will only slow you down more in the long run), clear your mind of responsibilities, take some natural help aids, and follow your doctor's orders.

I love you, my sister-in-Christ, and will rejoice in knowing that you're, once again, not only operating at "full-speed" - but healthy!! Hugs and blessings to you, MaryLu!!

  3. Wed June 18th,
    "Morning, MaryLu",
Matthew 8:24-26: " .... 24 - Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 - The discisples went and woke Him, saying, "Lord, save us ! We're going to drown !"
26 - He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid ?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm."
So my prayer today is: to rebuke the sickness inside of you, MaryLu ... and that you are able to "sleep calmly".
Hope you are feeling better really quickly !
And P.S. -- love the picture above !
Take care, and, God Bless, In Him, Brenda

  5. Sorry your not feeling well MaryLu. Praying for a speedy recovery! I believe that if we give All of our Battles over to the Lord he will be the champion in our corner. The verse I was think of was Chronicles 20:15- Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the Battle is not yours, but God's.

  6. 2 Samuel 22:17-18 (17) He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters. (18) He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.
May you feel better very soon! :)

  8. MaryLu,
I'm so sorry that you are feeling poorly. This is my go-to verse for when the storms of life are crashing upon my peace. 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' ~ Philippians 4:6&7 I am so very grateful for His promise of a peace that passes all understanding. It's there. Jsut reach for it. Love you and praying for you. *bear hugs*

  9. Aw, I'm sad that you're not feeling well MaryLu. I pray that God's healing hand is upon you, and that you will recover quickly. :)
    Psalm 46 ...
"God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging. (vs.1-3)
    ~ The Lord Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress." (vs.7)

    Smiles and hugs to you!

  10. "Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me, bless his holy name...and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives all my iniquities and who heals all my diseases, Who redeems MaryLu's life from destruction...who satisfies her mouth with good things so that her youth is renewed like the eagle's!" I believe this is happening now for you NOW, MaryLu, with all these prayers going up for you. --Motley Crew Chaplain Elva Cobb Martin and President, SC Chapter ACFW

  11. I cannot tell you what your comments and verses meant to me today as I finally was able to get online and check my messages!! Everyone of these Scriptures touched me deeply.. some are personal favorites.. but I especially loved your thoughts and prayers. I'm better today. At least I'm able to keep food down and sit at the computer for brief periods of time. So your prayers worked!! Praise God! I'm such a horrible sick person because I hate lying around doing nothing. LOL But this time, the Lord forced me to my bed with no other option because, honestly, I could hardly stand. In my crying out to HIm, I believe He wants me to slow down and not be so anxious about everything. Bless bless bless you all for your friendship and care and prayers!! In fact, I may have you all choose the verse to match the picture from now on, you all did such a great job! Hugs!
