O my dove, in the cleftsof the rock, In the secret places of the cliff, Let me see your face, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your face is lovely.” Solomon 2:14
Wednesday 29th, "Morning, MaryLu." A different, but cool picture for sure. Even before I read the Scripture verse, I thought of the song that says: " .... He hideth me in the cleft of the rock ...." Thanks so much for sharing. Take care, and, God Bless, In Him, Brenda
Oh my goodness ..... the words in that song I was thinking of (not exactly correct above) ..... " .... He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock ....." (But I can't remember the other words .... only the tune.) In Him, Brenda
Brenda, that song is now playing in my head, (LOL) - written by the wonderful Fannie Crosby in 1890, listed under the subject of refuge, based on Exodus 33:22, and relevant to us today:
A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, A wonderful Savior to me; He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, Where rivers of pleasure I see.
Refrain: He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, That shadows a dry, thirsty land; He hideth my life in the depths of His love, And covers me there with His hand, And covers me there with His hand.
A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, He taketh my burden away, He holdeth me up and I shall not be moved, He giveth me strength as my day.
With numberless blessings each moment He crowns, And filled with His fullness divine, I sing in my rapture, oh, glory to God! For such a Redeemer as mine.
When clothed with His brightness transported I rise To meet Him in clouds of the sky, His perfect salvation, His wonderful love, I'll shout with the millions on high.
I'm so thankful and blessed that He is my refuge!! Love, prayers, and hugs - MaryLu!!
