Think and Believe Big!

I ran out of time this week to write a Monday post. But a friend of mine sent me this quote in an email yesterday and I thought I would share it with you.

I don't know about you but not only is my faith often weak, but my expectations are as well. I believe that if we truly knew, I mean truly knew how much God loves us AND if we also understood His power, His capabilities to help us, we would never be worried or fear AND we would ask for much Bigger things in our prayers!

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.  Ephesians 1:19

    "Morning, MaryLu."
Excellent post, once again. Interestingly enough -- we "know" that God is -- exceedingly, abundantly more than able to perform a miracle. But how often do 'we' put limits on Him (stifling Him and keeping Him in a box, by our lack of faith), and not truly believing or convinced He can do the impossible ? Been there, done that !
To truly grasp -- how much He loves us and cares about every single detail .... and understand His power .... "if" we did, we would never doubt again.
"Think and believe big" .... yes, I definitely need to be doing that !!!
Thanks so much for these encouraging words today !
Take care, and, God Bless, In Him, Brenda

  4. Amen, MaryLu!! Thank you for this reminder. We serve a mighty God who can do ANY and ALL things - even beyond our comprehension!! He is ALWAYS ready, willing and able to meet every one of our needs - large or small.

My father turned 94 years old last week and has suffered from chronic depression since he was very young - he worries about ALL things, many tiny ones of little or no importance. He is a Christian, but I feel - truly lacks, and has a closed mind to, a comprehension of the greatness of God's love for him, or the comfort of knowing God has every situation under control and wants only the best for him.

I feel worrying is a form of selfishness and refusal to believe that God is capable of, or wants to care for our needs - that must sadden Him. I realize the importance of meds in today's society - yet, feel so much of one's fear, worry, mental anguish and resulting physical problems could be relieved or eliminated by learning to better trust God and His power for the solutions to our problems and to our good.It isn't always easy - but He is the answer!!

Prayers, love and hugs - MaryLu!! Praying it's a blessed, joyful Monday in your corner of the world!!

  7. Thanks so much for your comments, ladies! I've been out of pocket today with my grandbaby. My daughter just picked her up and now I must go make dinner. A woman's work is never done. Anyway, Oh I so agree with your comments.. so much of our stress and depression and anxiety could be eliminated if we TRULY trusted God and truly knew how much He loved us! I fall so short of that and end up in worry far more than I should. .. God Bless and hugs!
