The Prince came on a rescue mission to save us from eternal damnation and to defeat evil once and for all. He came first as a baby who grew to a man who then sacrificed his life for us. (Because He loved us so much!) Next time He'll come back as a Warrior King who will rule and reign in righteousness, and we will be with Him forever!
It's a bit like a fairy tale, isn't it? The damsel in distress held captive by the evil warlock, doomed to live in the dungeon forever. But then the prince shows up on his white horse with his sword and he defeats the warlock and carries us off to his palace to live happily ever after!
Who says Fairy Tales aren't true? Who says there aren't Happily Ever Afters? We believers are living in a Fairy Tale that is more real then what we see around us. The entire world longs to believe in happily ever afters, that good will always defeat evil, that love will always prevail! That's what Jesus came to do. I pray that no matter what you are facing this Christmas season, that thought will give you the hope and joy to endure anything until He returns!
From my family to yours, Merry, Merry Christmas and Happily Ever After to you!
Merry Christmas, my friend. Great post!

Sure don't like the way we/anyone has gotten caught up in the hustle-bustle of the Christmas season and all that it stands for.
Thanks for sharing. And a most Blessed and Merry Christmas to you, and your families !
In Him, Brenda
I like Happily Ever After!!
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful, merry Christmas MaryLu! :)
Yes, it does sound like a fairy tale - especially to those who don't understand or believe the true story behind it. I'm so blessed that I have a happily ever after coming after this life on earth!! Thank you for reminding us, MaryLu - I'm saying a prayer for those less fortunate than me this Christmas season!!
ReplyDeletePraying a blessed, joyful, peaceful and Christ filled Christmas for you and your family!!

Hi MaryLu! I haven't visited your website in over a year! I got a new job and do not have downtime like I did in my previous job and I rarely get time at home. I'm so happy you're still here. I had it in my mind that you were stopping this blog, but maybe it was Facebook? I love this message and I loved the entry below about the interview. Very inspiring words!
ReplyDeleteYup, I'm still here! I cut way back on Facebook so I could focus on this blog and website. Welcome back! It's nice to have a job that keeps you busy, eh? Better than sitting there watching the clock. :-)
DeleteAmen!!! I hope you have a great Christmas! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Ladies!! Hugs and love to you all!
