Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be as shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves.

  1. Beautiful pic and wise verse, MaryLu, thank you!! Things aren't always as beautiful and peaceful as it appears - this pic for instance - we, truly, must be shrewd and attuned to Him, as the scripture states.

    Love, prayers, and hugs!!

  3. Hi, MaryLu

Confession: I saw this on an email post, which led me to this picture with bible verse. As I started to read this verse: "Behold, I send you out.......". I stopped there, and almost flipped past it, thinking I knew what I was reading; "And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you....." Luke24:49. I was not even sure of the exact wording of the verse, nor of which verse I was thinking of. I even had to do a Google search to find which verse I presumed your verse actually was!
Then, out of the corner of my eye, I see "sheep", wolves", "serpents". What?? So... Maybe I need to read that again. So, I did. And when I did, the verse really reached a place in my heart and soul; and a place in my life. Thank you, MaryLu.
And in addition, the picture was stunning, also touching my heart. In the past, I have used the ship imagery to represent my soul. But that's another story.
And maybe, besides Matt10:16, I need to spend some time on Luke24:49.
    Blessings,

    Patricia

    1. The Bible often uses images of the sea and ships to represent things. I love that about God. Another verse that comes to mind is that Hope is the anchor of our soul. :-) I"m so glad the picture and partial verse prompted you to look it up. In this day and age, it's a great reminder that we are still on enemy territory, that we must be clever and careful, yet be great representatives of God's love. Blessings back!
