Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.”

James 4:13-15

  1. Wow, perfect picture for this verse. And yes, may God's will be done, not mine.

  2. Wednesday 5th,
    "Morning, MaryLu ... and gals."
I think of those verses in James --- our life "like a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away". How true that is. When I was a young child ... life/daily living 'seemed' to take for ever to pass by. Now that I'm much older ... every day and year, is going by in a flash !
May God's Will always be done ... in our lives, in my own life.
What an absolutely perfect picture to demonstrate !!! SO cool !
    Thanks for sharing.
Take care, and, God Bless, In Him, Brenda

  3. How true the scripture is...What is our life accept to praise him each day we rise and before we go to sleep, his will be done. I came upon your books while surfing amazon and have read and love the "pirate" sagas. I'm in the process of ordering the "Legacy of the King Pirate" series. You have so many, I will be busy for months. LOL!! God Bless and praise the Lord for giving us someone like you with your faith and talent!! Dee
