“The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;
The God of my strength, in whom I will trust;
My shield and the horn of my salvation,
My stronghold and my refuge;
My Savior, You save me from violence.
I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised;
So shall I be saved from my enemies.

“When the waves of death surrounded me,
The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me;
The snares of death confronted me.
In my distress I called upon the Lord,
And cried out to my God;
He heard my voice from His temple,
And my cry entered His ears.

2 Samuel 22:1-7

  1. I have reread these verses from Samuel a few times today. Funny how some just talk to you and you feel the peace of our Loving Father as they sink into your very soul and heart. I have mentioned of being in the"Waiting Room" lately. It -the problem - keeps raising its head and causes grief- and I know my Loving Father is working through this, but the hurt is still there. A Mother's heart feels the pain and God knows I trust Him. So these verses spoke to me. Exspecially -"In my distress I called upon The Lord, and cried out to my God. He HEARD my Voice from His Temple, and my cry entered His ears.

    What a blessing to read these words this morning and hear the answer to my heart-- I have heard your hurts and just be patient My Child, Wait upon Me and know that I am still in charge and Trust Me in all things.
    Thank you MaryLu for my Blessing of today and encouraging me with God's Words today.

    1. Hi Elsie! The waiting room is a tough place to be. I know that first hand. But it is often there that our Father molds us and shapes us to be more like Him and that in turn brings us more peace. I'm glad this verse spoke to you and reminded you that God has indeed heard your prayers and He knows your pain.. and help is on the way!
