The Tribulation Timing Found in the Psalms!

You may remember that I have posted before how I believe that the Psalms are prophetic. Whenever I get alone with the Lord and ask him about the timing of the rapture and the Tribulation, Psalm 124 pops into my head. Why? Because several months ago during a quiet time of prayer, I was thinking about the upcoming rapture and the Lord told me within my spirit to go look up Psalm 124. Although pastors and preachers have since preached on this psalm, at the time I had not heard anything about it.  For those who have never heard about the Psalms being prophetic of end times, let me digress and explain a little bit.

 Years ago, a great man of God, J.R. Church, wrote a book called Hidden Prophecies in the Psalms in which he claimed that the Psalms were a prophetic timeline starting in the year 1901. Hence each Psalm corresponded to a year and had something within it that happened in that year.

Psalm 1 = 1901
Psalm 2 = 1902  Etc....

It's important to remember that the Jewish year starts in our Springtime, so there is some overlap with the events in these Psalms However, what Church discovered was remarkable. All these prophetic events have to do with Israel, the Apple of God's Eye. Here are some examples.

In 1917, the British issued the Balfour declaration which gave the Jewish people back their homeland. Israel was surrounded on all sides by enemies. The entire psalm 17 is a praise to God and an appeal to the Almighty to protect them.

In 1948, Israel became a nation. Read Psalm 48 and tell me it doesn't reflect that event. It speaks of praise to God and talks about kings of the earth being astonished and a birth by a woman in labor!

Read Psalms 42-44 and tell me if they don't reflect the Holocaust of the Jews as they cry out to God for help!

In 1967 Israel fought a 6 day war and reclaimed Jerusalem. Try reading Psalms 67-68 and hear the praise and adoration of a God who defended the Jews!

While I agree that some prophetic events are hard to find in some of the psalms, in truth I've seen enough connections in them to believe that God inserted prophetic events in a timeline in the psalms. But why the psalms? Did you know that Psalms is the 19th book of the Bible (And the 48th book counting from the end of the Bible?)  I personally believe that God purposely made Psalms the 19th book of the Bible (and inserted important prophetic events within each one corresponding to years) because the 1900s were a VERY important century in God's time clock. I believe when Jesus spoke of the beginning of sorrows in Matthew 24, he was referring to the 1900s.

“Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for ]all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of sorrows."

Jesus is giving us a hint here of the time. If you look back through history and study the 1900s you will see a significant increase in famines, earthquakes, pestilences, and of course we had the 2 World Wars. God always gives His people warnings. Always. He also said in Matthew 24 that

But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be

One of the key factors of the days of Noah was the 120 year warning God gave mankind before He sent the flood. Yes, I know that you've been taught that the 120 years God is telling us that mankind won't live past 120 years after that, but don't you find that odd? There were many many people who lived way past 120 years after the flood. In addition, why would God stick that piece of information into a discussion of a coming worldwide flood?

And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”  Genesis 6:3

God is saying here he's not going to put up with all this evil He is seeing forever. He's going to give mankind 120 years to repent before He sends the flood.

Here's more proof from the Book of Jasher, Chapter 5 verses 6-11

And after the lapse of many years, in the four hundred and eightieth year of the life of Noah, when all those men, who followed the Lord had died away from amongst the sons of men, and only Methuselah was then left, God said unto Noah and Methuselah, saying,
Speak ye, and proclaim to the sons of men, saying, Thus saith the Lord, return from your evil ways and forsake your works, and the Lord will repent of the evil that he declared to do to you, so that it shall not come to pass.
For thus saith the Lord, Behold I give you a period of one hundred and twenty years; if you will turn to me and forsake your evil ways, then will I also turn away from the evil which I told you, and it shall not exist, saith the Lord.
And Noah and Methuselah spoke all the words of the Lord to the sons of men, day after day, constantly speaking to them.
But the sons of men would not hearken to them, nor incline their ears to their words, and they were stiffnecked.
And the Lord granted them a period of one hundred and twenty years, saying, If they will return, then will God repent of the evil, so as not to destroy the earth.

Therefore, if God gave mankind 120 years to repent before the flood, and Jesus said the end times would be like the days of Noah, then we can expect a 120 year warning before the Tribulation. Couple that with what Jesus describes as the beginning of birth pains AND the prophetic element to the Psalms corresponding to the 1900s, it is this author's opinion that our 120 year warning began in 1900.

Now, let's look at whether the Psalms predict the Tribulation. This is exciting! Whoops before I begin, you should know that Psalm 120 begins a section of Psalms called the Psalm of Ascent! The Psalms of Ascent were sung by Hebrew pilgrims on their way up to Jerusalem, and while ascending the steps of the Temple.

Psalm 120
In my distress I cried to the Lord,
And He heard me.
Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips
And from a deceitful tongue.
What shall be given to you,
Or what shall be done to you,
You false tongue?
Sharp arrows of the [a]warrior,
With coals of the broom tree!
Woe is me, that I dwell in Meshech,
That I dwell among the tents of Kedar!
My soul has dwelt too long
With one who hates peace.
I am for peace;
But when I speak, they are for war.

Lying lips? deceitful tongues? Have you ever seen such deception in the world as we are seeing now? I cry out to God each day to reveal truth to me and not let me buy the lies and propaganda that is all around me. What's also interesting about this psalm is that it mentions Meschech. You can look this up yourself but Meschech refers to Russia. Notice the ending. Israel wants peace but their enemies want war. I believe this refers to the Ezekiel War of Gog MaGog found in Ezekiel 38. This is an end time war that will usher in the revelation of the Antichrist.  Hence I believe Psalm 120 or Year 2020 will be the start of the Tribulation and we will see war occur toward the end of the year.

I see this post is getting quite long so I won't list out all the remaining psalms here. I plead with you to get your Bible out and read them as you finish this post.

Psalm 121 is an affirmation and praise to God, the one who helps Israel, the One who will protect them and preserve them. If the psalms are correct and the tribulation starts in 2020, then the Antichrist is ruling. Things are getting bad but Israel does not realize who the Antichrist is. They believe he is their Messiah.

Psalm 122 refers to a Temple in Jerusalem

I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go into the house of the Lord.”
Our feet have been standing
Within your gates, O Jerusalem!

We know there must be a temple built in Jerusalem for the Antichrist to desecrate. It is my belief that part of the peace treaty signed with Israel after the war. (the one the Antichrist strengthens) will be permission to build their temple. So, it would appear that in the year 2022, the temple will be built. This is quite possible since they already have most of the things needed to erect it quickly.

Psalm 123 = Year 2023

Israel is starting to see that things are not what they seem. Their "messiah" is starting to show his true colors. Here's just a few verses

Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us!
For we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
Our soul is exceedingly filled
With the scorn of those who are at ease,
With the contempt of the proud.

Psalm 124 - Year 2024

This is the Psalm which the Lord directed me to before I really know anything about the prophecies in the Pslams. I'm going to post the entire thing here cause it's so important

“If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,
When men rose up against us,
Then they would have swallowed us alive,
When their wrath was kindled against us;
Then the waters would have overwhelmed us,
The stream would have gone over our soul;
Then the swollen waters
Would have gone over our soul.”
Blessed be the Lord,
Who has not given us as prey to their teeth.
Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers;
The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
Our help is in the name of the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

Scripture prophecies that when the Antichrist enters the temple in Jerusalem and sits on the throne and declares himself to be god that this marks the mid-point of the Tribulation. It is at this time that Jesus warned the Jews to flee

 Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be  Matt 24:15-21

Now compare this with Revelation 12:

 Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child.  But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth Revelation 12:13-16

Do you see the striking similarities?  Israel is fleeing from the Antichrist (Satan, the dragon) as Jesus warned them to do. The antichrist tries to drown them  but God protects them and takes them to a safe place for 3 1/2 years (Some believe this place to be Petra) There, the believing Jews stay for the rest of the Tribulation.

When I saw this, I nearly fell out of my chair. Psalm 124 is marking the Mid-point of the Tribulation. Hence the year 2024 is the midpoint of the tribulation. Hence, the Tribulation must start in 2020. This is all conditional on the premise that the Psalms are matching the years in the 1900s. But I think I've given you a good amount of proof.

Psalm 125 speaks of Israel trusting in God and how He surrounds His people, just like He will do when they are hidden away in Petra. It goes on to say that the wicked will not always be allowed to rule in the land of the righteous.

Those who trust in the Lord
Are like Mount Zion,
Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
So the Lord surrounds His people
From this time forth and forever.
For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest
On the land allotted to the righteous,
Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.
Do good, O Lord, to those who are good,
And to those who are upright in their hearts.
As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways,
The Lord shall lead them away
With the workers of iniquity.
Peace be upon Israel!

Psalm 126 speaks of a time in the past when the Lord brought Israel back from captivity, and then proclaims He will do so again. It says Israel is crying now, but they will soon leap with joy. However it'ss the last verse that really struck me.

He who continually goes forth weeping,
Bearing seed for sowing,
Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,
Bringing his sheaves with him.

Who is the one who plants seed, who bears seed and who left this world weeping? He will come again, bringing His sheaves with Him!  Who are His sheaves? Sheaves are bundles of wheat. Who is wheat in the Bible?  Believers!  This goes along with other Scriptures which say when Jesus returns the 2nd time, He will bring us with Him!.

You will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; and you will flee just as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones (believers, angels) with Him. Zechariah 14:5

Then we come to the final year of the Tribulation 2027 found in Psalm 127.It speaks of joy, of the Lord returning to "build the house" of the blessing of children! In this year, Jesus will return and all Israel will be saved!  God will gather all His children, both Jew and Gentile, cast His enemies in the lake of fire, and begin to rule over the earth!

Unless the Lord builds the house,
They labor in vain who build it;
Unless the Lord guards the city,
The watchman stays awake in vain.
It is vain for you to rise up early,
To sit up late,
To eat the bread of sorrows;
For so He gives His beloved sleep.
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
They shall not be ashamed,
But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

Since it was the Lord who gave Psalm 124 to me, I must believe this is true. I suppose time will tell since we are now in the later half of 2020. It has been a fascinating year so far, hasn't it?

Keep looking up!

  2. Thank you for bringing this to light Sis, I really had not seen this before and had not read Jasher at all since its not in my bible. As i have said for years, I see no evidence that we are leaving here anytime soon and that things will get so much worse on earth. I know that the Lord will sustain us who are his and we will come through this and see the promise land. I see so many saying Jesus is coming and yet I don't see the son of perdition revealed and I don't see a few other things, but I feel sorry for those that think were out of here now and won't see the other things prophesied happening. They will surely be disheartened if their hearts don't faint within them from fear as the bible talks about this happening. I hate seeing and we will see more falling away and their love growing cold.

    As he said " Here is the patience of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus".

    1. Sis, you know I love you, but we ARE leaving soon. We will not see the son of perdition rise. The Bride of Christ leaves before he is revealed. Yes, we may see some bad things.. I believe this fall, but it is my strong opinion based on prophetic dreams and Scripture and what I see happening in the world that we don't have long. Remember Jesus said the generation who saw the return of Israel to the land would be the generation who would see His return. Israel became a nation 72 years ago. Psalms 90:10 declares a generation to be at the most 80 years. That has to include the 7 year tribulation. I could go on.. but please don't give up on His soon return!

  3. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing it. I've also heard the 120 years refers to Jubilee years, so 120X50 is 6000 years given to mankind. They could both be true. We do indeed live in interesting times! Be comforted, the King is coming! Blessings!
