The Battle is Real

 Dear Friends,

My dear Mother left this fallen world yesterday morning. My sister was by her side as she exhaled her last breath, and with it, her spirit into the arms of Jesus. Although I am sad and have bouts of tears, I know where she is. I know how happy she is now. In fact, I'm quite jealous of where she is now!  But I also know I will see her again soon.  My Mother had a rough life. She lost her father when she was very young in a Navy training accident. He was a Navy pilot. Her mother was not very affectionate, so my Mom grew up without love. She lived a wild life, a party life, as she raised three children. We moved often. She didn't come to the Lord until late in life, but once she submitted to Him, she fell in love with Him and spent the rest of her days serving Him. I watched as the Lord changed her over the years into a loving, holy woman.

I was unable to write a normal devotional post for today, but with everything going on in the world, I feel the Lord wants me to remind you that we are in a battle and the fighting always gets intense toward the end. So, armor up, Saints!  If you're feeling weak, that's good news, because the Lord promises HE will be our strength when we are weak.

    1. Thank you, Amy. How do people cope with death who don't know Jesus? I praise His name that someday death itself will be defeated.

  6. To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing; A time to gain, And a time to lose; A time to keep, And a time to throw away; A time to tear, And a time to sew; A time to keep silence, And a time to speak; A time to love, And a time to hate; A time of war, And a time of peace.

  7. Awe MaryLu, Sorry for your loss but grateful for the final destination of your Mom. Or as they would say on Star Trek, "The final frontier". In this flesh, we mourn but in His Spirit we rejoice, yes a jumble of every emotion. Even Jesus wept for the Lazarus' family at his death. Some like to paint a pic of Jesus being emotionless, but Scripture paints a loving, caring God filled will all the joy's and sorrows we feel, and how else would he be able to comfort us in these things. A friend recently posted a video of her Mom's funeral. I know many don't like, and shy away from these things. But this one was something I never saw before. At first view, I thought it was a wedding taking place. Folks playing piano, guitars, tambourines, singing, dancing in the Spirit, rejoicing and hallelujaring all over the room !!! And I saw some tears there too. But they weren't of the mourning kind, they were of the rejoicing kind. Now thats the kind of shin dig I want at my departure ! Rom 12: 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others’ joy], and weep with those who weep [sharing others’ grief]. Let the wave of missing, loving, good times and rough times wash over you as the Spirit brings them, for none of them are wrong, and all of them bring healing according to God's perfect will that reigns in your life. And know that we all here, your family are here with you, whether your in the missing part or in the rejoicing part, we love you Sister. May God's peace reign above all.

  11. I include my heartfelt sympathy along with all your fans. It's not easy to say farewell to our mothers but there is comfort in knowing this isn't the end. For her, it's the beginning! I am praying for you and your family as you adjust to the transition of your dear mother. "Tears are just love with nowhere to go." Praying for peace in your hearts.

  12. I just lost a big reply here. So going to make it short, I hope like I do with my dad, you can see your mom as happy as he is to be in heaven with Jesus. No More tears, sorrow, pain, corruptible body. They've graduated and we are working on getting there. Soon Sister! We are almost there. What a beautiful reunion we are about to experience with Jesus and I
Our loved ones. I am so excited, it's all I can think about anymore. Prayers for comfort and peace. Much love to you and prayers, Cillie
