You Might Be Luke Warm IF....

Whoever says, I know Him [I perceive, recognize, understand, and am acquainted with Him] but fails to keep and obey His commandments (teachings) is a liar, and the Truth of the Gospel is not in him.
1 John 2:4

Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. v15

Whoever says he abides in Him ought to walk and conduct himself in the same way in which He walked and conducted Himself. v6

RUN from this preacher

  • Run from any preacher who tells you that Christians cannot backslide
  • Run from any preacher that tells you that we no longer need to repent once we get saved even if we sin.
  • Run from any preacher who tells you that Hell is not literal!
  • Run from any preacher that tells you that the gifts of the spirit are no longer in operation in the church today!
  • Run from any preacher who embraces new age practices such as “third eye” and “astroprojection”
  • Run from any preacher who tells you that there is not a need to address sin in the church.
  • Run from any church that offers Yoga classes
  • Run from any church that emphasizes entertainment over true worship
  • Run from any preacher who tells you that Jesus is only one of many paths to Heaven!
  • Run from any preacher who embraces, condones, commissions and blesses what God calls an abomination! (Homosexuality, Transgenders, Fornication, etc)
  • Run from any preacher who tells you that the Book of Revelation is “alegorical” and not “literal” -
  • Run from any preacher who teaches spirit mapping or meditational prayer
  • Run from any preacher who says that God selected certain people to be saved and others to never be saved and there's nothing anyone can do about it. There is no free will in salvation
  • Run from any preacher who says we can become little "gods"
  • Run from any preacher who claims that the church will take over the world before Jesus returns

5 Easy ways to identify a false teacher.

  • They never preach against or acknowledge sin in the Church even though John the Baptist, Jesus and the early Church all preached repentance.
  • They never speak or teach on self-denial even though Jesus himself warned that we must first deny ourselves, and take up our cross in order to follow him.
  • They never speak or teach on sanctification or holiness even though the early Apostles emphasized this regularly in their letters.
  • They never mention the danger of hell even though Jesus warned of this far more than he spoke of Heaven.
  • They preach that once you are saved you can live anyway you want and you're "sealed" until you get to Heaven
  • They never preach on the return of the Lord even though over half of the entire new testament alone speaks on this topic. -

You might be “Luke Warm”IF

  • You might be Luke Warm If you call yourself a “Christian” and can recite the lyrics to all of Taylor Swifts songs but can’t quote 5 verse of the Bible!
  • You might be Luke Warm if you can name all the players of your favorite team and their stats but can’t quote 5 verses from the Bible!
  • You might be Luke warm if you are willing to sit in the rain, heat and snow to watch and cheer for your favorite football team but will stay home from church if it is raining.
  • You might be Luke Warm if you spend more time justifying your strongholds than you do making no provision to be set free from them!
  • You might be Luke Warm if you have no problem sitting in front of the TV for 3 hours to watch your favorite team, Netflix series or new movie but grumble and complain about a 45 minute church service.
  • You might be Luke Warm if you complain about a ministry asking for you to support their vision to equip and teach the lost but have no problem with spending $50 a week on Starbucks and $100 plus dollars a week on wardrobes, and cosmetic services.
  • You might be Lukewarm if you aren't excited about the Rapture because you are having a good time here
  • You might be Luke warm if you have to drag yourself to read the Bible and hate spending time in prayer (Even if you actually do these things)
  • You might be Luke warm if you look more forward to a potluck at Bible Study than actually studying the Bible

“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou were cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit thee out of my mouth.”
 Revelation 3:15-16

The Rapture of the Bride is about to happen. Don't be VOMIT!

No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, for God’s nature abides in him and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God.1 john 3:9

  1. This is it very well said. I would add one more to the list about signs of being lukewarm. You may be lukewarm if you never talk to people about Jesus. I think it is sad how we will discuss all kinds of other things but are so hesitant to talk about our Savior. We are about to go to our wedding! I remember the year when my daughter and I were planning her wedding. It was almost all we talked about. Our focus was on getting everything ready and making sure that it would be perfect. We are getting ready to go to the wedding supper of the Lamb! We should be excited, anticipating, and talking about it.

I am so sad about the state of the church. A lukewarm church can’t set the world on fire. Churches for the most part seem to be embracing what Dietrich Bon Hoffer called cheap grace ,

“Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, Communion without confession, absolution without personal confession. Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate.“

    1. Ah yes.. witnessing. How many Christians hide their faith for fear of persecution? Sad. Great analogy about the wedding! Who doesn't want to talk about their upcoming wedding? I love Deitrich Bon Hoffer. I highly recommend his biography. He was one of the only men of God who stood against Hitler. What an awesome man of God. Thank you for his quote!

  2. Greetings Highly Favored Lady of our Lord,
Long list here Sister. I wonder why people cant see these signs ? When you tell them that pastor so and so called himself the "I AM", or this other pastor called himself "Almighty God", or they follow NAR preachings from this guy, or read books and then give studies on the teachings from prosperity gospel, etc ! I can not believe that almost everyone I thought I knew as Christians follow, and love these things listed here on your blog. I sometimes wonder that if so many think this way, maybe it is me that is wrong ??? Yet I feel the Spirit alerting me to these things.
Acts 5:29 Peter and the other Apostle repied, "we must obey God rather than men" !
Sister may the peace of our Blessed Saviour guide your steps in the week ahead.
    Oh here are some fun facts I found;
Here are some amazing facts about where the Bible places the emphasis on the life of Christ.
    * There are 89 chapters total in the 4 Gospels.
    * only 4 chapters are written about the first 30 years of Jesus' life.
    * There are 85 chapters following Jesus through His last 3 years !
    * 27 of the 85 focus on the last 8 days of Jesus' life.
    * That means that approximately a third of Gospels speak to the last few days of Jesus' life with the emphasis on His being taken prisoner, His brutal mistreatment, the cross, the burial, the empty tomb, His resurrection and appearances, and His promise to return.
I think this is where God intended for our focus to be !

    1. I also wonder if maybe I'm the one who is crazy... but then I remember that the world thought Jesus and His disciples were nuts too! We are in good company! Those are some great Statistics!! Amazing that the focus of the Gospels is Jesus's crucifixion and resurrection. Without them, we wouldn't have a Gospel! Blessings!

  4. I have struggled finding a church in Utah that I can call home. I find myself just watching certain creatures on Sundays on YouTube. But I wonder if I am missing out on a church family by doing this. When I try to go to a church, it feels so superficial. But I know I'm lacking accountability. I'm just not sure there is a church near me that is equipped to do that anyway.

    1. I can't find a church here either Katy. What we both need is a small home church filled with committed followers of Jesus. I just don't know where to find that. If you find a friend who you know loves Jesus, maybe ask him or her to start one with you. So far, I haven't found anyone here I could even ask. Sad.

  5. Hi MaryLu. This is going to be slightly off topic, but I have a question that I am pretty sure others are wondering also. Perhaps you can shed some light on it. I was wondering, what with the holy month of Ramadan, and other holy feast days coming up soon, if us gentiles, are required to celebrate them, as the Muslims do. Are we supposed to know what Ramadan fasting is, and do it?? I have an interest in such things, but not sure if it is proper for gentiles to perform the rituals?? Perhaps you could answer that. Thanks in advance!! Have a great day!!

    1. Hi Kathy! Thanks for the question. Ramadan is a Islam holiday. I don't know much about it except it lasts a month and involves fasting. Christians are NOT in any way, shape, or form supposed to have anything to do with it!! Islam is a Satanic religion.
Regarding the Jewish Feast Days that are coming.. namely Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread and Pentecost, we Christians are not required to celebrate these at all. However if you want to celebrate them in your home or with friends, I don't believe there is any harm in it. These three feast days (appointments with God) were already fulfilled when Jesus came the first time. I know a Messianic Jew who loves to have people over for the Passover meal. My husband and I went one time and it was really cool. But this is NOT required of those of us who have received Jesus as our Savior. However, Like I said, if you want to celebrate them, as a Christian, do so as you remember what Jesus did for you when He fulfilled all three of these feasts. Of course there is to be NO sacrificial offerings of any kind (not that you intended to kill a lamb!) but Jesus already made the ultimate sacrifice for our sins. This is why the third temple and the upcoming sacrifices made by the priests will be an abomination to God.
But regarding Ramadan. Have NOTHING to do with it!!
Hope I answered your question. Blessings to you and yours!

    2. Yes. Thank you!! This answered my questions!! Especially the Ramadan one. I am glad that I asked, as I have been reading a lot of "recipes" and different ways to fast during Ramadan, and this made me wonder if gentiles were expected to do the same. I had no idea that Ramadan was an Islam holiday and that Islam is a Satanic religion!! I will avoid it. Thank you for your very specific answer!! I appreciate it! You learn something new every day!! Blessings to you, as well.
