Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. Matthew 10: 34-36
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. John 15:19
Greeting Precious Sister in Christ,
ReplyDeleteThats for sure. We are definately in a spiritual battle here !
I think it so strange that the NAR/ Prosperity folk teach opposite. In my study on Brian Simmons he say; " Lets agree together that we will stop putting off, to a make believe Millennial time, the fullness of all of the promises of God to come." Yes God has made many many promises to us. Some fulfilled, that we have full possession now, but many are held till the fulfillenmt of all things.
The 7 Mountain Mandate you mentioned last week is in direct contradiction to this scripture. Actually they believe that it is the churches job to take over the world and bring peace so Jesus can enter it !
And amillennialists, believe, that this is the time of peace, and that Jesus is already seated on His earthly throne, and in charge. ( correct me if I got this wrong) well then why does the scripture talk about the prince of the power of the air ? What about the Tribulation, and what about Rev 20 ???
And even if the Thousand years is symbolic, it is stiil declaring a certain time period.
I will walk in what we have now with a child like eciting expectation of what our unimaginabal glory is waiting for us in Heaven !
Blessings in Hope Sister.
It amazes me to hear all these incredible false doctrines!! So against the Bible, and these "pastors" are able to pull the wool over their flock's eyes because the flock does NOT read the Bible with the Holy Spirit as guide. Apparently I have heard that most Christians no longer even believe in a Tribulation.. they believe all the prophecies have already been fulfilled in the past. Amazing deception! I, too, am excited to go home!
DeleteHello Sister in Christ,
ReplyDeleteThe two quotes you indicated have a profound impact on us Believers, for we know that those who refuse to love the ways of this world will be rejected and hated by those loyal to it.
Isn’t it so hypocritical that there are those who claim to love God and follow his ways, yet treat certain people like total dirt because those people either make mistakes, have weaknesses, or are labeled as different from them?
For instance, if someone who believes strongly believes in sincere kindness (true follower of Christ) meets and kindly interacts with people albeit in unorthodox ways, but those people express resentment and silent hatred inside while showing insincere kindness on the outside towards that person. The person being resented also opposes the ways of the world such as cursing, wild partying, condescension towards those they judge as inferior, and even fearlessness towards getting in trouble with the law to prove to others that he or she is not a “weakling.”
Would this be an example of “hated by the world for the sake of righteousness?”
Thank you Sister for your time and God Bless!
I'm not quite sure what you mean.... this true believer is behaving Christ=like toward others but is being silently resented by them? Yes, that is definitely being hated by the world for righteousness! Just not sure what you mean by being fearless in getting in trouble with the law.
DeleteGod Bless!
Sorry if it was unclear. It has been believed that people admire those with toughness and aggression, even in situations where they torment others, particularly those they view as inferior, to make them look bad to others. They would not care if they get in trouble with the law, which could result from bullying or inflicting physical/mental harm on the bullied.
DeleteOn the contrary side, people would scorn those who hesitate to act in ways that God would definitely disapprove of because it shows “weakness.” In other words, not showing toughness in usually sinful manners makes those people look like weaklings.
Hope this clarifies it a bit. Thank you sister for making an effort to understand.
I think I understand you now. Yes, true believers who do not follow the ways of the world look very weak to people in the world who think toughness and aggressiveness are good qualities to have. Yet in truth, humility and self-control are actually far more difficult and tougher to do than being outwardly brutal and strong. Meekness is not weakness, but rather strength under control.
DeleteGreetings Sister,
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple biblical areas that I would like some clarification on.
1. I thought for some time that prior to the Tribulation, two prophesied wars must take place. They are the ones in Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38-39. Are the current wars in Israel and Ukraine fulfillments of them or are they unrelated?
2. Regarding the Rapture, I recently read in another Christian article that it may not take place until after the Tribulation or else it would conflict with Job 14:12, which states that “men will not rise from their sleep until the heavens are no more,” which could mean the new Heaven and new Earth after the Millennium Reign. Is this true or is it just an opinionated thought?
Thank you Sister for answering the questions and God Bless!
As far as I know and sense from the Lord, both wars are yet to be fulfilled, though some scholars believe the Psalm 83 war already happened back in 1967. The Ezekiel war has not happened yet, and it appears that it could happen very soon. I don't believe Ukraine plays a part except that Russia's war with them has depleted the Russian resources. Hence Putin has a great need for oil and energy. Remember the Ezekiel 38 war is fought because Russia, Iran, Turkey, etc come to take a spoil. In other words, they are after Isreali resources. I believe this war will happen soon.. .right around the time of the rapture, either right before or soon after. There is another reference to Gog-Magog in Revelation but it is a completely different war.
Delete2. It's important when reading Job to understand that much of what Job and his friends said was not "From the Lord". In other words, their doctrines and statements often conflicting with the truth that God proclaims. We see that clearly when God starts answering Job and his friends toward the end of the book. Job most likely had no concept of the rapture or 2nd coming at all. In fact, not many of the prophets actually did in the OT. The Apostle Paul said ti was a great mystery that God revealed to him. The heavens are definitely going to dissolve and God is going to create a New Earth and New Heavens AFTER the millennial reign, and YES, there will be a resurrection at that time. It is called the Great White Throne Judgement and is a judgement of the dead who died without Jesus. Paul calls this the 2nd resurrection. This has nothing to do with the rapture, which is clearly pre-tribulational based on dozens of Scriptures and the early church Fathers. I hope that clears things up! Blessings!
Hello Sister,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your responses. I like how you answered them with in-depth analysis, research, and citations from Scripture.
For the first question, since some scholars thought that the six-day war in Israel back in 1967 may have been the Psalm 83 war, does the Yom Kippur War in October 1973 also have some significant bearing on this prophesied war?
Also in Revelation 20:7-9, could this be like the Ezekiel War Part 2? Could it be assumed that this will be Satan’s final revolt against God while joined by people who still have a sinful and rebellious nature despite going through the Millennium Reign? The article I read noted that afterwards is when the New Heaven and New Earth will finally be in existence and Satan will be cast away forever, as referenced in Revelation 21-22.
Like you and other true Believers, I am looking forward to the Rapture, when we can finally have a temporary escape from the evil in this world. I only hope our families will join us and that is why I hope that constant prayer will raise the odds even if they do not seem to be impacted.
Thank you again for your responses and have a Blessed day!
I don't know much about the Yom Kippur War, and in all honesty, I have not done much research on the Psalm 83 war. I am of the opinion, based on sermons I've heard, that it has already occurred. but I really can't definitely say that. I encourage you to do some research, if you're interested. There are theologians on both sides of the fence. I think my focus has been more on the Ezekiel 38 war because I believe that happens soon.
DeleteThe verses in Revelation 20:7-9, are in my opinion, as you said, the final war that Satan and his forces fight against Jesus and His. It always amazes me how anyone living during the Millennial reign could ever revolt against Jesus, but human nature is what it is, and when Satan is released, he will be back to his old tricks and probably deceive many, (Just like he's doing now) But yes, after that, Satan is cast into the Lake of Fire and we see him no more. Praise God! THEN God makes a new heaven and new Earth... kind of exciting!
Keep praying for your family! God hears and answers prayers and He makes special allowances for families! The Scripture is full of examples. So don't give up and believe!
