2 Cor 11: …3I am afraid, however, that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may be led astray from your simple and pure devotion to Christ. 4For if someone comes and proclaims a Jesus other than the One we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the One you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it way too easily.
If you take the easy way, the "different Jesus" you'll gain popularity quickly, and be accepted readily. We are close to the finish line, do not compromise and be like those who have fallen back. But persevere in the Truth in the face of adversity.
This is very true, and it reminds me of some life experiences. Back in the early days and years when I first came to Christ, people have been kind and polite and I used to regard them as sincere. Now that like 99.99% of them have abruptly disowned or forsaken me without warning, I kinda see how it makes sense now that I was not meant to have sincere lifelong friends. Even though I was not preaching about Jesus, it may be that people from a godly perspective could see that I was one of God’s children, which I did not fully believe myself until later in life, and therefore, the kindness was all short-lived and likely insincere. As time passed, I noticed through their body language and facial expressions that something was falling apart, and while I was bothered for some time, now I do not really care about that anymore for I remember God’s promise of so much better in Paradise. The only hard test of faith is patience up to the Rapture, whenever it will be. I truly hope soon so I can finally meet with true Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
Could it be that people could see if you are one of God’s chosen but they maintain a facade as if they still accept and appreciate you until you turn your back and walk away? Also if those people were Christians as they may claim to be, would it disappoint God that they would love only certain people based on judgmental factors, but resent or hate others? I know Jesus would definitely not approve of such insincerity. Regardless, I should be thankful that this is evidence that God can transform me into a whole different person who is not of the world, for “what good is it for a person to gain the whole world and lose their own soul? (Mark 8:36)?” God knows my limitations and did not want me to get carried away by the world, especially with how it is right now as we Believers all know. What are your thoughts Sister?
Now I have learned to accept the above and look forward to the Rapture, where I can be with true Brothers and Sisters and understand that they mean more than a billion real friends on Earth ever could. If I see those “offenders” in Heaven fully transformed into loving Brothers and Sisters, then I would be more than willing to welcome them and forgive them if they should apologize. Is this a proper way of moving on while continuing to believe in God’s promise?
By the way, I noticed your blog background has like a pirate ship and the blog name has cutlass, the pirate sword. Speaking of these, have you seen the Pirates of the Caribbean movies? If yes, did you know that today the 9th is exactly 22 years (back in 2003) when the first one titled Curse of the Black Pearl came out? Also, two days ago on the 7th was 19 years (back in 2006) when the sequel Dead Man’s Chest came out. It does not seem that long ago doesn’t it? Wasn’t it also during the 2000s when things were more “normal and peaceful” and we would never have imagined the evil that is so active today? Social media was gradually coming into existence, but there was no AI or pandemic (minus swine flu in 2009-2010), to destroy life as we can see nowadays.
I am still in High Watch mode with the supposed New Wine Rapture theory for the next few weeks. I could only hope that the Lord will take us home to escape the evil that I am sure is exponentially increasing behind the scenes while the world population is constantly distracted by other matters that may be considered trivial compared with the evil prophesied in the Bible. Take care Sister and Blessings from a Brother in Christ.
Brother, there's another passage in the Bible.. I forget where, but it says that True Believers stink to people who are lost. In other words, we smell bad to them... LOL I'm sure it doesn't mean in the natural but spiritually. So yes, it's a huge compliment when "Christians" who ware worldly do not want to be your friend. We are to come out from among them and be separate, that's what Jesus requires. And yes, everything that God allows to happen to you is ultimately for your good and His glory. He knows how much we can handle and He always provides a way out! In heaven we will all love and understand each other unconditionally. You should forgive these people here in Earth already and let go of your resentment. If they end up in Heaven, it won't matter... you will automatically love each other as Brothers and Sisters. I had to laugh at your question. Yes! I have seen all the pirate movies. The very first one 22 years ago was what set me thinking about writing my very first novel, The Redemption, about a Christian pirate. I did not know it was so long ago. Time flies. And yes, the world was VERY different back then. Things are moving fast. We are all in High Watch Mode this year, Brother. Stand fast and watch the Salvation of our Lord! Blessings
Amen Sister,

Be strong and "take courage"
Exactly, Brother... a different Gospel. I'm not sure these people are even saved. Sad.
