Demons Believe and Tremble

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 john 2:4

The person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who really loves Me; and whoever really loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I too will love him and will show, reveal, manifest)Myself to him. [I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.]  John 14:21

You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?  James 2:19-20

  1. Good Morning Holy Messenger of the Lord,

This is a good reference to the false and lukewarm “believers” in Christ. This is one of the situations that is aggravating, for those who claim to believe in and know Christ would still resort to willful and unrepentant sin, such as committing crimes or mistreating people terribly without a shred of remorse. However, as I feel that the Rapture and Tribulation are close, it no longer bothers me as much for God will ensure that only true Christians will be rewarded.

I remember it was noted that lukewarm Christians may get left behind during the Tribulation - is it because they have not fully or sincerely dedicated themselves to Christ? They may still attend church, show kindness to people, and go about living a “successful” life, but if they have committed specific sins (disrespecting and resenting people without remorse and pretending like it was nothing by refusing to repent from the heart), how would God view them? From my stance, I may have unknowingly offended people before due to my inexperience with the social life and also because I am not too intelligent, but at least I found myself praying to the Lord daily and confessing known sins committed that day to Him and ask for forgiveness. Wouldn’t God view this as repentance? Also, I believe it was a divinely good thing for now I see how evil the world really is and how there are countless false believes out there. That is why I finally made peace with the past knowing God’s ultimate promise.

Since the Devil and all his demons will have the ultimate heyday once we leave, I could only pray that people would finally come to the senses and do what they know is right to get saved, even if martyrdom is certain. Peace and Blessings Sister.

    1. Greetings! Yes, unfortunately I believe Scripture is clear that those who are lukewarm Christians, who just go through the motions but who don't have a real relationship with Jesus, will be left behind. Rev 3:10, and Luke 21:36 are just 2 among others that prove this. They will have to go through trouble in order for the Lord to refine them and help them turn completely to Him, Many of those Left behind will become Tribulation Saints and end up in Heaven with us. So, we pray for them. You are doing the right thing... just stay close to Jesus, repent of any sins you are aware of, and ask Him to keep you strong until He comes! He promises to do that! Blessings!
