Walking in the Spirt vs. Walking in the Flesh

  1. Hello Sister in Christ,

This is a great breakdown of characteristics regarding being led by the Holy Spirit. I may get a little personal here, but I find myself guilty of points three and five on the right side.
I am the type who likes to plan tasks and goals, but if they get abruptly interrupted, ruined, or cancelled, I tend to be impulsively driven to frustration knowing that it was something I had not planned on nor anticipated in any way.
I know we are all meant to go through trials, but if they are something that feels unbearable or interferes with any plans or goals I set, I feel again prompted towards being upset or frustrated.
Despite the above, I have this “acknowledgement index” in which I almost immediately wince upon realizing the reactions above and any sin in general, indicating that I realize I have sinned or failed to resist the temptation to sin. This is why I consider it important to confess and repent of any sins during daily prayers. I openly admit to the Lord that as long as I am in the mortal state, I am prone to temptation or sin at any time, which is why I developed a habit of confessing, but I pray that the Lord is not upset that I failed to withstand sin and that this will not risk loss of salvation, or worse missing the Rapture.

I did not know the State of the Union address was yesterday until I checked the news later the same day, and topics that were addressed were the Iran strike and the economy. That leads to a question for each:
    - for the strike, it does not mean war will not happen, we know it is imminent based on prophecy, but that it is just not the appropriate time yet from God’s perspective?
    - for the economy, even though it is supposedly “stable” right now, didn’t Scripture hint somewhere that the economy is expected to be in this state not long prior to the Tribulation?

Also some politicians from the opposing party reportedly screamed at the President during his speech. I guess since they are “all on the same team”, there is literally no point in trying to determine who is right or wrong?

Just thought you’d be interested to know, but today is exactly 22 years when the movie Passion of the Christ came out back in 2004. I did not watch the whole movie other than some clips of the crucifixion, Satan’s defeat, and the resurrection when Jesus walked out of the tomb. I remember you stated back then that the movie did not show the “true extent of the Lord’s suffering.” What Jesus actually endured 2000 years ago was far worse than what the movie portrayed, and because of that, I instantly feel heartbreak and recall an image of Him holding the cross with the crown of thorns with five words: “I did this for you.” How much I want to embrace the Lord when I meet Him in Heaven!

Have a great day Sister and Peace and Blessings from a Brother In Christ.

    1. Greetings, Brother. You are doing the absolute best thing by repenting after the Holy Spirit has convicted you. You should know that not a day goes by that I don't commit some small sin... normally for me it's something I say that I shouldn't say or a thought that was unkind toward someone who is mean to me. The Holy Spirit gives me a little nudge and I immediately ask the Lord for forgiveness and to help me do better. So, don't feel bad about making mistakes now and then. The Lord knows we are only human and still struggle with these things. But because we come to Him and repent... we are then maintaining our relationship with Him.. and that's what counts. You cannot lose your salvation unless you willfully walk away from Jesus. So don't worry about that.
I did not watch the State of the Union... it's all a bunch of lies anyway. I do believe we are on the verge of war.. and yes, the entire worldwide economy WILL collapse. It has to in order for them to bring in Digital currency across the globe. The economy is definitely not stable.
I did not know that it had been so long from The Passion of the Christ. Good movie overall... but hard to watch. The Lord looks forward to embracing you when you get there! Blessings

    1. Ha Ha Joe! Kid Rock!! Not falling for that again, though I do believe you would be feeling the same way if he were him. Don't we all have our little weaknesses...? Our emotions that get in the way? One of the things I look forward to in heaven is not having to deal with my sin anymore! Blessings!!
