Saints,
I'm back from my travels... and I intended not to post anymore this month, but in my Bible reading this week, the Lord impressed on me to share the following 2 passages. One is from a prayer of King Solomon as he dedicated the Temple, and the other is the Apostle Paul. In each passage spoken by men thousands of years apart, the entire purpose of a follower of God is spelled out so clearly. Solomon, the wisest man ever to live didn't mention sacrificing bulls and goats and sheep and keeping the entirety of the law. No. He spoke the same words as the Apostle Paul 1000s of years later.
Know the God of your father, have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, and understand Him; appreciate, heed, and cherish Him. Serve Him with a blameless heart and a willing mind. For the Lord searches all hearts and minds and understands all the wanderings of the thoughts. If you seek Him, inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity, you will find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever! 1 Chronicles 28:9
For my determined purpose is that I may know Him, that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly, and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection which it exerts over believers, and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed in spirit into His likeness even]to His death, in the hope That if possible I may attain to the resurrection out from among the dead even while in the body. Philippians 3:9-10
The Entire purpose of mankind is to know Jesus personally and intimately. It's not just a "belief" in Him. It's a knowing of Him, as in you know His personality, His sense of humor, His mercy and love. You sense His presence, hear His voice.
Then, out of that relationship, your desires change. You no longer want to live for yourself. You live to please Him. That's Christianity in a nut shell.
And yet so many "Christians" miss it entirely.
I heard it said recently that prayer is 25% lifting up your requests to the Lord, 25% Worship and praise, and 50% being quiet and listening for His voice.
As we approach the Rapture and Tribulation, be sure you know Jesus as an intimate friend and Lord of your life. In the end, that's all that matters!
Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father Who is in heaven.
Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name and driven out demons in Your name and done many mighty works in Your name?
And then I will say to them openly (publicly), I never knew you; depart from Me, you who act wickedly [disregarding My commands].
Matthew 7:21-23
These people believed in Jesus. They believed in the power of His name and did good works in His name. Jesus didn't say that they tried to drive out demons. No. They did drive out demons and they did prophesy and they did "mighty" works in His name. Obviously, they believed in Him.
Belief isn't enough. The word KNEW in the passage is a Greek word that means an intimacy... even as far as sexual intimacy. It is a knowing, an understanding, a personal relationship.
I'm stressing this because I believe time is so very short. Get alone with Jesus and come to know Him personally. Sit at His feet and adore Him! He's worth it!

Greetings to you happy wonderer :)
ReplyDeleteI love the scripts, especially Pauls in Phil. I've often notice the properity guy's quote part of it "Being transformed into His likeness" but they always see to skip over the sufferings part !
I wrote a while back, it's not enough to just have a belief in God, we need to believe God !
I always pondered the script regarding the narrow and wide gates. Always went back and forth on that between God's unfailing love and His final judgment. But I'm starting to see more and more just how narrow the narrow gate really is ! Seems the whole world is being deceived these days.
Christ's peace Sister.
Hello Sister in Christ,
ReplyDeleteWelcome back and glad to see you post again. Good thing I have still been checking your blog daily for I had a feeling you may come back and post again sooner than anticipated.
Interesting quotes from Scripture, I just finished reading Acts yesterday (Paul managed to escape a narrow death because the Roman king felt sorry for him) and plan to read the 2 Kings chapters. I have been feeling that whenever I read or go through something and then come across some associated Scriptures, it must be a form of communication from God. Could this be true?
The hantavirus is said to have been detected in some American travelers who I think are also among those quarantining in Nebraska, and lately there is another alarming report of an Ebola outbreak in Congo and Uganda, which prompted the WHO to declare a concerning global health emergency.
I think you may also believe this, but could it be very possible that this is a preceding step before the next “plandemic” begins? COVID was planned but fell far from meeting the goal of mass losses, and the demonic forces are ensuring it will not fail this time around. However, I still tend to believe the full force and impact may not be felt until the Fourth Seal is broken. Do you believe this could be true?
You may have heard that Putin is now meeting with Xi in China, just days after Trump’s visit there late last week. We should believe that the real goal is to prepare for an attack on Israel, possibly fulfilling the Gog-Magog War, under the pretense of seeking economic aid and boosting relations. If this is true, then we should be leaving very soon, for I think that war may not happen until the Second Seal is broken to allow for war or maybe not long after the Tribulation starts. Possible scenario perhaps?
Have a great day Sister and in advance, Happy Pentecost weekend. With less than two weeks before June, this may be the final High Watch time for this month? Either way, I still believe the Tribulation may start this Fall and therefore, we will leave at some point between then and now. Peace and Blessings from a Brother in Christ.
