Dear Saints,
These passages from Ephesians have really helped me over the years. I copied them from the Amplified Classic and altered the pronouns to make them more personal. You see, I've always struggled with insecurity, believing I was unworthy, an odd duck who never fit in. Part of that came from me having an Earthly father who rejected me and wanted nothing to do with me, and a mother who, though she loved me, never really connected with me. Part of it then came from a multitude of rejections by kids, friends, boyfriends, and various people as I grew up. Maybe some of you can relate. So, I make myself vulnerable here in order to share what has helped me. Read the following passage every day until it sinks into your soul and you begin to realize how precious and valuable you are to Father God.
The enemy would love to keep all of us wallowing in our own insecurity and unworthiness. That way, we become ineffective for the Kingdom of God. Don't let him! Rise up and believe that you are a child of the Most High and have been adopted into His family as a precious son or daughter and hence, given all the privileges of royalty.
I hope this helps you and blesses you as much as it has for me.
Blessing be to You, my Father and my Lord Jesus Christ who have blessed me with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm!
Even as in Your love You chose me in Christ before the foundation of the world, that I should be holy, consecrated, and set apart for You and blameless in Your sight, even above reproach, before You in love.
For You foreordained me to be adopted as Your own child through Jesus Christ, in accordance with the purpose of Your will because it pleased You and was Your kind intent. So that I might be to the praise and the commendation of Your glorious grace, which You so freely bestowed on me in the Beloved.
In You, I have redemption through Your blood, the forgiveness of my offenses, shortcomings and trespasses, in accordance with the riches and the generosity of Your gracious favor, which You lavished upon me in every kind of wisdom and understanding, practical insight and prudence, making known to me the mystery of Your will, in accordance with Your good pleasure which You had previously purposed and set forth.
You made me God’s heritage and gave me an inheritance; for You foreordained, chose, and appointed me beforehand in accordance with Your purpose, who works out everything in agreement with the counsel and design of Your own will, so that I, who first hoped in You, who first put my confidence in You, have been destined and appointed to live for the praise of Your glory!
In You, I also have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings Gospel of my salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on You, and was stamped with the seal of Your long-promised Holy Spirit.
Your Spirit is the guarantee of my inheritance, the firstfruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on my heritage, in anticipation of its full redemption and my acquiring complete possession of it—to the praise of You glory.
And You made me alive when I was dead in trespasses and sins, in which I once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also I once conducted myself in the lusts of my flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and was by nature a child of wrath, just as the others.
But You, Lord, who are so rich in mercy, because of Your great love with which You loved me, even when I was dead in trespasses, made me alive together with You and raised me up and made me sit together in the heavenly places right beside You. So that in the ages to come You might show the exceeding riches of Your grace in Your kindness toward me in Christ Jesus. For by grace I have been saved through faith, and that not of myself; it is Your gift, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For I am Your masterpiece, created by You for good works, which You prepared beforehand that I should walk in them.
MaryLu Here: Keep these powerful passages close to your heart and on your mind. You are exceedingly precious in the eyes of the Lord. You are a child of the Most High God. Satan doesn't want you to know your worth or your power. Look up to your Father and believe how deeply loved you truly are.
