Posting, Deadlines, and book giveaways

As I mentioned before, I'm working on a new book series, entitled Surrender to Destiny. It's set in Baltimore during the War of 1812. The first book will be called Surrender the Sea. In each book, the hero and heroine get caught up in one of the famous battles of the war and discover that God has an important task for them to do in order to save their country. Just reading about the war has stirred my patriotism, and I hope these stories will too. The first one is set out on the Atlantic Ocean and involves a merchant ship, privateers, the British Navy and an important sea battle. More on this and the other titles later.

Anyway, this book is due in January and that doesn't give me much time to do the research and the writing, so I'm not going to be posting as much on this blog as before. I'm going to keep doing my Monday devotional post because that is the most important one. Then I plan on posting one more time during the week and have a book giveaway. I have a dozen or so books that I've picked up here and there that I'm never going to have time to read, so why not do the authors and you a favor and give them away to be enjoyed.

So, tune in on Friday for this weeks book giveaway!

  1. I'm sorry you won't be able to post as much. I really enjoy reading your thoughts and insights. But I do realize how much time that must take. I could never find topics to write that many blogs a week : ) I'll be praying for you as you work on this next book. That doesn't sound like much time to complete a whole novel. But I'm sure you will create a wonderful story with great characters. You always do! Good luck and God bless!

  6. Oh, that's too bad that you won't have as much time to blog, but if it means another book, then it's worth it! :-)

  8. The War of 1812 sounds like a great setting! I haven't read many books with that setting and I always like unique historical settings.

I saw the cover of The Raven Saint recently and I love it! I think it's my favorite of your covers so far.
