Also, please keep Haiti in your prayers throughout the week. As some of you may know, part of the story of The Raven Saint takes place in Haiti. It was then known as Saint Dominique and was a French colony. During my research, I learned a lot about this great place and my heart goes out to those who are suffering. If you feel led to assist these precious people, I recommend donating to the Red Cross or The Salvation Army, or another great reliable organization is Samaritan's Purse, run by Franklin Graham at: https://www.samaritanspurse.org/
I have heard about Haiti, so sad, it makes me cry. Well I cry when I hear people have died, anyway. Monday I am going to hear a woman who survived the holocaust talk about her experience and today I cried just thinking about it and listening to someone explaining in detail what went on. It breaks me. How someone could be so evil….and evil is almost an understatement, or maybe it is... I wish I could personally and physically help the people in Haiti, but I cannot. I love to help people; it just happens I am not good at it in the least. Those poor people are always in my prayers, they have shown me once again just how lucky I am. I suppose I behave a selfish brat sometimes. I saw on the news; a little girl lost two fingers and could not be treated, a mother lost four children and the fifth one died on the way for help, and after seeing other videos on the news, I cannot handle it. I have to turn it off. But ... they are always in my prayers.

Thanks for your post, Abby. Yes, the news from Haiti is very sad. And sometimes prayers are the best and most powerful thing we can do. Don't think for a minute that you're not doing anything of value when you pray. For God does hear and act on the prayers of his saints!

Wonderful post. We just had a fire( furnace caught on fire) We where so blessed the whole house didn't go up. Have been having trouble with the insurance, but THANK You GOD. the insurance keep through and we will have heat again, soon. So we are truly blessed, everyday. I am sorry for all those in Haiti and their families.Blessings
