  1. Wed June 15th,
    "Morning, MaryLu."
Love this shot .... actually, I think it would make a beautiful/wonderful book cover .... "What think you ?"
Action, love the various shades of blues ... and once again ... the ships, sails/masts ... all make me think about 'exciting, swashbuckling and adventuresome times' !!!
    Thanks for sharing.
    Take care, and, God Bless,
    In Him, Brenda Hurley

  2. Beautiful! Are those flags of the Netherlands? I bet this painting has a lot of history behind it. Wow, listen to me, talking about history! You've really influenced my interest in history, MaryLu, and I appreciate it. I used to loathe history, but now I find myself intrigued by it. I guess you're never to old to learn. LOL

  3. Hmm.. yes they do look like Dutch flags. I hadn't noticed. Debbie, you no doubt loathed history because it wasn't taught to you in the right way. It's not about memorizing facts and dates.. it's about ideas and adventure and freedom and God's plan for this age. Anyway.. yes, Brenda, I agree. Let's dive into the painting for a swashbuckling good time! I wish... as I'm stuck in my writing room trying to write a grueling scene about a duel with pistols. I need some sea air!

  6. I never thought about a book cover, but yes, I see your point. There's lots of action going on here that could spin in a dozen different plot directions! Good eyes, Ladies. ;-)
And Hi Jackie! Thanks for dropping in!
