Wild turkeys in my backyard!

Well, just beyond the back gate! Aren't they cute? Now, we need to catch one before Thanksgiving!

  1. I love turkeys! They are a normal sight on our farm. And I just read this quote today haha:

You can't always go by expert opinion. A turkey, if you ask a turkey, should be stuffed with grasshoppers, grit and worms.

  2. Funny Kirsten.
I haven't seen a live turkey in years. I guess it's better than peacocks, because even though they are pretty, they are annoyingly noisy. LOL

  3. Great quote, Kirsten!! Love it. And Debbie, yes, these turkeys are pretty quiet, unless something scares them. Then they all spread out their wings and squawk like crazy!

  5. Ooooh, how fun! They are so cute! We sometimes have deer on our property. They are just so beautiful. But that is about the extent of animals we see near out home. However, when that happens the dogs usually scare them away! :)

  6. We live in the city and the last couple of days have been visited by a group of turkeys. They scared the living daylights out of me. The neighbor's cat was stalking them, I tried to get a picture, but failed.

PS: I love your new blog design.

  7. Thanks Nice. Good to see you here! Yes, my cat stalks them too. It's funny to watch because they are twice his size. :-)
