Wordless Wednesday!

As the fire burns the woods,
And as the flame sets the mountains on fire,
So pursue them with Your tempest,
And frighten them with Your storm.
Fill their faces with shame,
That they may seek Your name, O Lord.  Psalm 83:14-16 NKJV

Well how fierce and frightening is this picture !!! Wouldn't want to be out in these waters, nor on either of the ships !!!
    Great verses you've shared.
Take care, and, God Bless, In Him, Brenda

  2. Well, I had to actually enlarge this picture, because it looked like a giant spider on the boat in front/center. Still can't tell what it is...a skeleton? oars? Anyhoo, great picture with a lot to look at! Great verse, goes perfectly with the pic.

  3. How awesome. This psalmist is asking God to put His fear into them so that they will be shamed and, thereby, turn to the Lord to be saved!

    Am I right on that?

That is what we should ask of God for all of our "enemies".

I've heard people pray for the death of evil, ungodly people but isn't it FAR better to pray that they turn to Jesus and let Him refine their ways!?!

    1. Yes, that's how I understand it, Megan! Jesus asks us to pray for our enemies.... not always easy, but it often changes us in the process. :-)

  4. I'm not so sure what I would see in the mirror, but would probably not be happy with what I see. But then maybe if we could see in that mirror we would work harder to improve what's inside us. I know what I'd like to see but it's not so easy. I gave my heart to God a long time ago, but don't think I gave Him complete control of my life. I need to work harder at letting Him control my life instead of me. Would love to win your new book. Maxie mac262(at)me(dot0com
