And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. 

Isaiah 64:6


This is why we need Jesus! Even our greatest, most unselfish achievements are like rags compared to God's holiness!

    Amen! That's so true and yet there are many times in life when we think that we're "good" enough just because we reached a certain level of spiritual maturity. A wise reminder to humble ourselves before the Lord.:)

    That verse is an excellent reminder ... "all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags" ... to keep us humble before Him !
    Excellent picture to go along with it !!! And yet again, the picture reminds me of the words in the song: "The Anchor Holds". ".... the anchor holds, though the sails are torn ...." How true !!!
