We are still here. What now?
Many of you who follow my blog know that I've been writing several posts about the rapture recently. In fact, I wrote a book about end times too! When Angels Cry. This has been an ongoing interest of mine since I got saved 25 years ago, and since then, I've felt the Lord leading me to, not only be one of His watchmen (or watchwomen), but to wake up those believers who are asleep.
For those of you who read my Revelation 12 post or "Rapture Sign of 2017" post, you know I had high hopes for this time frame around the Jewish Holiday of Rosh Hashana to be the timing of the rapture. There are so many mind-boggling signs leading to the year 2017 (incredible dates, prophecies, the great eclipse, the Gaza Pyramid sign, blood moons, mark of the beast etc..) that I couldn't help but believe this might be it and hence, I wanted to let others know. The Great Sign that the Apostle John spoke of in Revelation 12 actually occurred two days ago as Rosh Hashana was ending in Israel. Though some dispute this sign, my research has confirmed that it hasn't happened in thousands of years and won't happen again for a very long while. I took this screen shot on September 23rd from my Stellarium software. You can see at the bottom that we are looking up from Jerusalem at 11:07 AM on the 23rd. The lines and labels were added by the software. However it's easy to see the planets Venus, Mars, Mercury lined up with the Sun, Jupiter and the moon. Even the secular world noticed this odd lineup of planets. See article here in the NYTimes
I STILL believe that this was the sign spoken of by John in Revelation 12. AND I still believe it is a rapture sign due to the word harpazo (rapture) used in the verses. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, please read my Revelation 12 post. Therefore, I must conclude that we are still very close to going home. This was a sign, and a sign is something that points to something. A sign is there to tell you what's up ahead. Also, remember, we are still in the Holy Days of the Fall Feasts of Israel. After Rosh Hashana, we are now in the "Days of Awe" which end this Saturday, the 30th, with Yom Kippur or the Day of Atonement. Then the Feast of Tabernacles continues next month. Each of these Feast days or "appointments" of God have great significance in that they are indeed God's appointments with man. Each of the Spring Feasts (Passover, Unleavened bread, First Fruits, and Shavuot) were fulfilled on their exact day by Jesus in His first coming. Each of the Fall feasts (Rosh Hashana, Day of Atonement, Tabernacles) will be fulfilled by Jesus on their exact day by His second coming. I could do an entire post on this. Everyone of these feasts or appointments that God ordained the Jews celebrate pointed to Jesus! Here's a good Article on this if you're interested
Am I disappointed? Of course. The way the world is going, who wouldn't want to get out of here and be with Jesus? If you, as a believer in Jesus, aren't excited about being with Him and going to heaven, then I encourage you to dig into His Word and spend time with Him in prayer and ask Him to give you a desire for eternity and a love for Him above all others.... a love for Him above the fleeting pleasures of this world. Cause, believe me, any pleasure here on earth never lasts and even at its best, cannot compare to the joy we will have with Jesus in heaven... and eventually back here on earth for His millennial reign. It's exciting to think about!
So, yes, of course I'd rather be in heaven, but since I'm here, that must mean there's more work for me to do. And more work for you to do. The only reason for a delay is that there are still people who need to be reached with the Gospel, there are still people God has called who haven't yet put their faith in Him. We must be about our Father's business and tend His vineyard like a good steward until He returns.
Hence, I'm looking at this as an opportunity to do more for Jesus while I'm here. I will continue my ministry. I will continue to write books, write blog posts, and be a watchmen for my Lord. I will make myself available to Him for whatever tasks He needs me to do. Remember, we are soldiers fighting a war for the souls of men. Yes, the war will end some day, but the good news is, we already know we win!
I do still believe there isn't much time left. How can I not when I see what's happening in the world? So, let's take up our swords (the Word of God), let's put on our armor, let's get our marching orders from our King, and go out and do battle in His name. There is territory to be won and souls to be saved. Let us not grow weary in doing good!

ReplyDeleteThank you, Monica! :-)
DeleteLove your blogs!!! And I so love your words and insight that you have about the end times. Would you ever consider doing an online bible study about revelations? Or any bible study? I have be looking for one that would be online but have not found anything as of yet. You have such a wealth of information. It would be great to do something like that with you. Love your books and all your insight. Thank you for doing what you do for the family of Christ.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the vote of confidence, but I'm sure there are a ton better Bible studies online than I could ever do... :-) I appreciate so much your kind words. God Bless!

DeleteI learn so much from your blogs and am so thankful to you for sharing all your insight and knowledge.
ReplyDeleteOn a book aside: I saw on Laura Frantz's website a book cover with your name on it..."The Liberty Bride". It was such a tease to see it that I can't wait to find out more about it.
Thanks Amy, I'm writing that book now! I'll be posting about it soon. :-)
DeleteI am also disappointed, but it can’t be long. All signs point to it. Maranatha!
ReplyDeleteAmen, Naomi!
DeleteYour blog really resonated with me. I have long believed that the Lord would come around the fall Jewish feasts. We can rejoice that we have the privilege to see the signs of His coming, and our hearts echo the words of the Apostle John, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus." It won't be long now!
ReplyDeleteIndeed! I cannot wait for my Lord's return. Hopefully, our wait will not be long. :-)
DeleteI so agree with all you said, MaryLu - the end is near, I can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteLove, prayers, and hugs!!
ReplyDeleteA man had two daughters. They lived in a trailer park that, frankly, had seen better times. One day the man said, "I'm going to find us a better place to live. You girls take care of things here while I'm gone."
After some time, late one night he returned and was greeted with joy by his younger daughter who had spent her days checking the phone for messages and sitting by the window watching for any sign of his return.
"Where's your sister?" he asked.
"I don't know," she replied. "She hasn't been watching with me."
So the man went in the house and found his older daughter climbing out of bed, a little groggy, startled awake by the sound of his truck coming up the drive.
"What have you been doing?" he asked.
"Well, the first thing I did was clean up the yard," she said. "I sold all those broken machines as scrap metal. Then I planted some flowers. They're really pretty; you'll be able to see them in the morning. After that I emptied out all the closets and had a yard sale. Then I dusted, vacuumed, and washed the windows. Today I did the shopping and cleaned the bathroom. Here's the money from the scrap metal and the yard sale. Can I fix you something to eat?
The End
Ecclesiastes 3 (paraphrased): "A time to be like Mary, a time to be like Martha; perhaps a time to be a little of both."
Both! I agree. Watch and work.
