What We HAVE In HIM!

In these dire times, it's important to know what we all have NOW "In Him". That is, in Jesus. IF you are truly in Him!  So I did a search through the New Testament on the words, "In Him"

What those who Follow and trust in Jesus have right now!

  • Eternal Life
  • No Condemnation
  • Remission of Sins
  • Power to live, move, and have our being
  • We are His Children, Adopted into the family of God
  • All God's promises in Scripture and to us personally are Yes and Amen
  • God's Righteousness
  • We are Chosen
  • Boldness
  • Access to God with Confidence
  • Holy and Blameless
  • Forgiveness of Sins
  • A grand inheritance - co heirs with Jesus!
  • Sealed with the Holy Spirit
  • Rooted, built up, Established in the Faith
  • We are Complete in Him
  • We are not in the darkness
  • God's love is perfected in us
  • We walk like Jesus walked
  • Free from sinning
  • Jesus abides in us
  • We can ask anything according to His Will, and we have it!

I could list a ton more verses and promises that connect with these, but I just loved this list. It makes me wonder why I ever fear anything!  If Jesus is in me and I am in Him, then I am His child. I'm forgiven, I walk in the light, I'm not a slave to sin. He grants me power to live and He builds me up, sanctifies me, establishes me. He teaches me to love as He does and to walk like Jesus walked. He grants me boldness and confidence. I am co-inheritor of all Jesus is inheriting, and if that weren't enough, all His promises are YES! and I can ask for anything and He'll hear and answer me. I mean, WOW!  In addition, there are many other verses who don't use the phrase, "In Him", but who talk about those who truly follow the Lord... how He protects, heals, delivers, rescues, blesses, saves, and provides. We can bank on these promises because they are all Yes and Amen in Christ Jesus!

There is a condition, though, which you will see in some of the verses below. If you want to claim these privileges of being "in Him", you must actually be in Him. You must abide in Him and He in you. In other words, God's Spirit must live inside of you and you must cultivate a relationship with the Lord. When you do that, you no longer are able to purposely disobey Him and live a sinful life. Both the Apostle Paul and John tell us this is how we determine the real Christians from the fake. Those who live in willful sin on a regular basis do not have the Spirit of Jesus living inside of them.

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God
Romans 8: 10, 14

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments
. 1 John 1

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, Hebrews 10:26

    1. I agree. It would be a good idea to read each Scripture and meditate on it.. and ask the Lord to expound on it so we can praise all His Goodness toward us. Blessings!
