Indeed all who delight in piety and are determined to live a devoted and godly life in Christ Jesus will meet with persecution. But wicked men and imposters will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and leading astray others and being deceived and led astray themselves.
2 Timothy 3:12-13
This is a deep word but one which I hope will make you think. I only have a handful of true Christian friends at the moment. I've lost many "Christian" friends and family over the years for a number of reasons which you could basically boil down to my desire to follow Jesus and His Word with all my heart. If all your Christian friends love you and welcome you with open arms, you either are very fortunate to be surrounded by such Godly people, or you might want to check your zeal and love for Jesus and His Word
Time is so short. I sense it. Go all in for Jesus while you can. All in, no matter the cost. Be among the Bride who has a chance to escape all the evil soon coming on this world!!
MaryLu, I needed this so much today. I’ve been under attack more than ever before and it seems that I’m the only one in my household who fears the Lord. I try to walk in the light but getting threats and profane insults thrown at me for doing so as if it’s wrong. I pray desperately that Jesus protects and guides me but I feel so lonely on this quest! ~Jas
ReplyDeleteYou are NOT alone!! I hear from many precious saints in the same position, including myself! Many of us are being persecuted by the very people we live with and love. But you know this was also prophesied in Scripture. Just stay true to the Lord and cling to Him. You may not "feel" His presence always, but I promise you He is there with you. He understands.... believe me, He understands. When He walked the Earth, all His best friends completely deserted Him and left Him alone to die. He knows what you are going through. Stop and search inside your spirit and you will find Him there, strengthening you and very pleased with your faithfulness. We don't have long now! I'm lifting up a prayer for you!
DeleteGreetings Daughter of the dwindling Remnant of the True Chruch,
ReplyDeleteYeah that opening pic is my story for sure. Love 2 Tim 3. And isnt it poignant for today. Imposters go on from bad to worse, deceiving many. And if we try to speak even in the kindest way, we are scoffed at and ridiculed. Which happened to me today :)
If you remember MaryLu, my fight, the reason I left the church was to find out where and why people in my church started saying they are "gods ? In my searching I found that , that paled in comparison to what I found !!! pastors calling themselves "Almighty God" ! Those who dare to call themselves teachers calling themselve " I AM" ! And preaching that we are too !!! I had never, ever heard this before that dreaded day 3 years ago. And I flew out of that church. Now that the Holy Spirit has showed me this apostacy, I cant un see it, Im enthralled by, enraged by it. And as a result most all have left me. Even as you say, the people I love most treat me with contempt, and patronize me. It's lonely here, for sure. They are convinced, with the help of an evil pastor, that I fell into some false teaching and went my own way. The truth is I ran from the false doctrines they were teaching. But I will not foresake My God and Creator, my King before who alone I bow.
Matthew 10:21-23 New International Version (NIV)
“Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
Amazing to is John 6: 55For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. 57As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me. 58This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like the breadc the fathers ate, and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” 59Jesusd said these things in the synagogue, as he taught at Capernaum.
The Words of Eternal Life
60When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?” 61But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were grumbling about this, said to them, “Do you take offense at this? 62Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? 63It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.) 65And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”
66After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him. 67So Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” 68Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, 69and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”
MOST turned away. But you gotta love Peter here. Just when we think of him as this big old maybe not so bright narly fisherman, he comes through with the most beautiful and simplistic slice of truth; Lord to whom shall we go, you have the words of eternal life !!!! Cant wait to meet Peter !
Praying for all who come here, all who seek the Face of Christ and will bow to no other Lord. The remnant church scattered in every corner of the world. I pray that we find comfort in one another, and pray for one another knowing that we are not alone, that we have each other, and we have Jesus, our anchor in this raging sea, and His Holy Spirit who gives us comfort in knowing Jesus Christ is our Redeemer who cometh soon to rescue His Bride. May He strengthen our faith and trust in Him, and give us courage to endure, as we wait for his gloriuos coming . We wait for You Jesus.
Yes, Brother, I do remember your situation there and the apostate church you left. I know your family has spurned you and it breaks my heart. The Body of Christ is bereft of Godly men like yourself, and it breaks my heart to see your family treating you this way. But yes, the masses left Jesus because His sayings were too hard!! I love Peter too.. I'm excited to meet all the disciples... ahhh.. the stories they will tell!! Thanks for your prayers for visitors here! I pray the same... Come, Lord Jesus Come!
DeleteFamily & Friends... So glad I have a strong faith in the Lord to carry me through and I will always be so very thankful for you Sis... Hugs
ReplyDeleteBlessings, my dear friend!
