Trials and Temptations?

  1. Greeting Precious Remnant of the Faithful,

This is another area I love to study. Well that sounds strange, right ? Who wants to talk about trials and suffering, meekness and weakness, troubles and sickness ?
In today's church you wont find many teaching this critical doctrine. It just doesnt sell very well. It doesnt draws crowds, it turns people away.

Yet every writer in the N.T. talks about trials we "must endure" if we really want to be Christ like.

Jesus said, if any would follow me, he must pick up his cross daily. What Jesus say's here is that, we need to humble ourselves when the Holy Spirit places someone in our path to share the Gospel with. Especially when we know that person will resist us, even those we love the most. But remembering they are not resisting us, but the Holy Spirit.
It means that when we get to work, and the person who cut me off to steal my parking space gets to the door before us, we should hurry around them to open the door for them.
It means that when the new guy at work, gets the promotion you've work 10 years to get, you submit to their un earned authority, and work hard for them, as unto the Lord.

I'm not boasting here, I fail all the tests I just listed, at times.. Yet we persevere in faith for the promises set before us.

One of my favorite scripts on this. 1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various [b]trials, 7so that the [c]proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which perishes though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 8and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and [d]full of glory, 9obtaining as the outcome of your faith, the salvation of [e]your souls.

I think the key is to remember that this life is only our testing ground. Our true home is reserved in Heaven for us :)

    Peace in Chist Jesus

    1. Amen, Brother. Our lives here are just a series of tests. The big one. Will we accept Jesus and make Him Lord of our lives. The rest are all trails and tests that God uses for our sanctification. I fail many of them too, but each year, I fail less and less as the Holy Spirit changes my heart. Those were great examples! Nothing matters but Jesus, bringing Him glory, and helping others to find Him. That's all we will be graded on when we stand before Him. Blessings!

  2. Hello Sister in Christ,

Very true, without trials and temptations, people would not understand that they are tests of faith, recovery, and redemption, from how I view them. When one falls down, they would trust the Lord to lift them back up, ask the Lord for forgiveness as a road to recovery, and believe that the Lord will redeem them if they learn to overcome all trials and temptations no matter how bitter they are.

There are some Scriptures that I recite daily that relate to temptation:
    1. Lord’s Prayer: “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,”
    2. Serenity Prayer: “Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace, taking as He did, not as I would have it.”
    3. “Because you have endured patiently, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is to come upon the world” (Revelation 3:10)
    4. “In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33)

I believe by enduring a bit longer, the Lord will save us eventually from the coming Tribulation via the Rapture. Speaking of which, I just read somewhere online that the Rapture may not be prior to the Ezekiel 38-39 (Gog-Magog) War, but possibly sometime after because with the Restrainer gone, Israel will be battle-weary and hardened to the point that they would ultimately feel “obligated” to accept a peace treaty (Daniel Covenant) in order to cease further bloodshed and violence. The article also stated that “As long as we the Restrainer are still here, the UN Conference goals seem doomed to fail. But post-Rapture, negotiations may finally become easier for the AC to make Israel a peace offer that they will not refuse.” Do you think this is a very possible scenario? Either way, since you feel that war might be soon, that means the Rapture should not be too far out? Since there is still like exactly a month until the UN Conference, then we might see some more signs between now and then, such as the Blood Supermoon on September 7 & 8.

Regarding the news, Trump supposedly called for the Federal Reserve governor to resign, citing potential mortgage fraud. Would the first thing that comes to our minds is, it is just another step at destroying the essential components of the economy and monetary infrastructure in order to bring about the Beast Empire? This could be further evidence that every political action is simply to set up for the AC’s rise to power, right? And people, yet again, still rejoice and happily tolerate such occurrences.

I also just read that a California resident in South Lake Tahoe tested positive for plague, which should instantly bring thoughts about the one in the 1350s that wiped out more than half of Europe’s population. Also it was stated that MPox, while no longer making headlines and becoming a concern, is still a looming threat. The worst action we could take is believe they are actually not any more dangerous than COVID or any other disease, especially with whichever one(s) the demonic forces are planning to unleash, right?

Thanks Sister for your continuous encouragement and uplifting posts. Peace and Blessings from a Brother in Christ.

    1. Those are great prayers to recite every day, Brother! Regarding Gog-Magog, I don't know. Everyone seems to have an opinion as to the timing. I do believe it is around the time of the rapture, either before, during, or after. The "peace" covenant of Daniel 9 is the kick off of the Tribulation, I believe, so whenever that occurs, we should be leaving. Whether it occurs before or after the Gog-Magog, I don't know. I don't know if this UN meeting in Sept will produce the actual covenant either, though it does seem likely. We shall see! Yes, next month we could very well see some signs as we head toward Feast of Trumpets.
The Federal Reserve is a very evil entity that should have never been set up. It isn't even run by the American people. But yes, I heard they have a new head guy.. I think he's from Blackrock or one of those Elite vile organizations. I'm sure whatever they are up to, it will lead to the collapse of the economy and the implementation of digital currency for all.
Yes. the next plague will be far more deadly than Covid. Covid was a test. The next one will wipe out millions. But that is after we are gone and the seals are broken! Not to worry. Even if they release something in the meantime, the Lord protects and watches over those He loves! Blessings!.
